To Whom It May Concern:

I have known Delilah Rivera for one academic year. She was a student of mine in my one of my AP U.S.
History class. During that time I was able to observe her under different circumstances that tested her different
abilities. Delilah is an exemplary student and leader.
As a student, Delilah works hard to receive the best marks possible. She is not afraid to ask questions
and challenge concepts in the pursuit of knowledge. She does not submit or accept substandard work to be
presented for grading. Delilahs ability to articulate what she is thinking into words is a rare gift. In class, some
assignments required Delilah to offer her ideas in front of her peers during class presentations. These
assignments required clear and concise language in order to accurately present the material.
Delilah has also exhibited a desire to comprehend other cultures not only here in the United States but
around the world. Her questions in class are usually directed to the sociological interactions amongst different
ethnic groups in the subject being discussed at the time. She will also pull on previous knowledge from other
classes to try to understand the same concept if it is to be found and applicable at the global level.
Delilah Rivera is a person that is a benefit to any organization to which she belongs. Her drive and
tenacity make her stand out among her peers. I fully endorse Delilah in her pursuit of any position or award that
she is applying for. If there is any need to clarify the information presented, please feel free to email me at
