2015-2016 Upper School Profile

Accreditation/Affiliations

Class Rank

Ben Lippen has been accredited by AdvancED since 1980

and by the Association of Christian Schools International
(ACSI) since 1996. Ben Lippen is also affiliated with the
South Carolina Independent School Association (SCISA).

Ben Lippen School utilizes the SC Uniform Grading Scale

and reports class rank on all final senior transcripts.
Typically, 100 percent of the senior class goes on to
postsecondary education. Because of smaller class sizes,
the academic rigor of a Ben Lippen education, and the
resulting overall caliber of the average Ben Lippen student,
class rank is not a good predictor of future academic
success.

Admission
Admission to Ben Lippen School is selective and is
based on a students previous academic performance,
recommendations, personal attributes, an admissions
interview, and academic entrance testing. Applications for
enrollment can be accessed online at www.BenLippen.com.

Dual Enrollment
Ben Lippen offers high school students the opportunity to
take college courses at Columbia International University
at no additional cost. A variety of courses are available,
including, but not limited to, Introduction to Psychology,
Historical Perspectives in Culture, Graphic Design,
Introduction to Business, Research in Literature, and
Introduction to Philosophy.
