Goldingwritesinawaythatrepresentshumansasalmostevil
whileneanderthalsaspeaceful,benevolentcreaturesthatarevictimstothehumansdestructive
ways.Thishelpstoshowthemeaningofthisnovel,whichisthat,thathumansarenaturally
destructivecreatures.Thisisexemplifiedbythefactthatallthehumansweredestructiveand
maliciousintheiractskillingmostoftheneanderthalclanfornoreasonotherthantokill.While,
atthesametime,theNeanderthalswerepeaceful,theybasicallyonlyatevegetablesonlyeating
meatoutofnecessity,afterLokfindadeercarcasshespeakstohimselftobeconvincedthat
eatingmeatisokay,Thepeoplearearethinwithhungerandtheymusteat.Theydonotlike
