Math We have finished Topic 11 and took the test on

Wednesday. Test were lower than normal so I am allowing a
retake if done by Friday. We have started Topic 10 and have
practiced measuring in Customary and Metric Systems
Reading Our next story is Stormi Giovanni. Stormi is miserable because she has just moved to a new city and misses
her friends back home. To protect herself from more hurt, she
decides she will not make any new friends. She creates the
Stormi Giovanni Club, which has only one member: Stormi.
GrammarWe will be studying indefinite and reflexive pronouns. These pronouns may not refer to a specific word; for
example, everyone and anyone
Writing Every student is being given time in class to work
on their state report. They have been given guidelines to the
research and Slide presentations. Students are allowed to research and notes outside of class, but need to be typing the
report in class.
Spelling The spelling words this week are homophones.
They sound the same, but are spelled differently. You need to
know the meaning of the word.
Social Studies We took Chapter 7 test and next we will
be learning about the French and Indian War.
Science We are learning about adaptations animals make
and why they make them.

Family Groups
Our family groups met for the first time today. This is always a lot of fun.
5th and 6th graders usually do a great job showing PRIDE in how they
interact with they younger children. Ask they about it!
