Installing Custom Dialogs

Macros (the .sps files) are command based and can be tedious for people not used to working with syntax.
Scripts (the .sbs files) are easier to use but must be run each time you want to call up the dialog box.
And neither macros nor scripts live permanently in SPSS. They disappear once you close SPSS. Custom
Dialog files are permanently installed in SPSS, integrating the procedure into SPSS menus. Either double
click on the .spd file to install, or use the procedure below. Installation requires administrative access to
your machine. You may have to open SPSS as an administrator as well. If your computer is owned by
someone else (such as a university or your place of work), you probably dont have administrative access
and will have to contact a local technical support person.
