Cambodian People by the Khmer


Rouge.

invaded Cambodia and toppled the
Khmer Rouge government.

the Revolution, those who were not
pure were those who supported the
Lon Nol Regime/Americans.

Genocide? DehumanizationEnslavement-Took away any choice
the Cambodians could have had.

-How did the Khmer Rouge take over


Cambodia? They allied with Prince
Silhaunook, motivated a lot of people
to join their regime.Upset with the
Lon Nol Regime (backed by America).
-What ideas inspired the Khmer
Rouge? Inspired by Mao and MarxistLeninist ideologies. (Communism)
