There are many pathway options that can lead you to study atMonash.
Pathways provide alternative entry options for gettingintoyour desired
courseif you do not meet the requirementsfor entry. Whateverthe
situation, there are plenty ofoptions to assist you in successfully
studying at Monash.

Monash Extension
This program gives you a head start on your first
degree by studying first-year Monash units while you
are still atschool. Subjects include biomedical science,
chemistry, computational thinking, and economics
and marketing. If you are interested you will need to
achieveexcellent results in year 11.

Comprehensive
courses
Comprehensive courses offer maximum flexibility
and choice. You start studying a range of disciplines,
then progressively focus on one to two study areas.
Our comprehensive courses are arts, business,
commerce, information technology andscience.
Scholarships

Double degree
courses
Become an expert in two fields by choosing a
double degree course. This allows you to study
towards two different bachelors degrees at
the sametime, providing you with more career
flexibilityandopportunities.
A double degree course takes at least two years
less to complete than if you studied the two courses
separately because the required units from one
coursecount as electives in the partner course.

Architects influence where and how we live, study, work and play.
They can revitalise a city, make affordable housing or help us live
more sustainable lives. Architectural Design is the first stage of our
five-year bachelor/master professional qualification in architecture.
Successful completion of the bachelor degree guarantees access
into the Master of Architecture course. Highly talented students

Pre-selection activity
The pre-selection activity changes every year.
Architects typically express their designs through drawings,
photography, digital images, and text, but we dont expect you
to have these skills yet. You will be asked to respond to an issue
through text and image and you wont be disadvantaged if you
havent completed Studio art or Visual communication design.

Interview tips
If shortlisted for an interview, youll have an opportunity to
tell us about the ideas you explored in the pre-selection
activity. Theinterview also allows you to demonstrate your
communication skills while discussing your background,
enthusiasm, and motivations. Interviews will be held from
late November to early December. If you are based in a
remotearea,you may be eligible to sit a phone interview.

This course will help launch your career in the visual arts as an artist,
commentator or curator. It will challenge you and support you to excel.
By specialising in Fine Art you can find and develop your own artistic
voice, preparing you for a career as a contemporary artist.
Art History and Curating can help you develop your eye for art and
your understanding of its origins and significance, ready to work in
art history, criticism, curating and cultural production.

Global studies focuses on the effects of globalisation through
the study of twentieth century history and twenty-first century
challenges. You will study the history of the twentieth century
before moving on to the issues of the twenty-first century.

The interview for the MBBS is based on a combination of
an applicants UMAT and ATAR scores. The cut-off score
is determined by the distribution of scores each year and
thereforechanges depending on each cohort.
Interviews are usually held in early January and invitations to
interview are sent via email. Only shortlisted students who
attendan interview will be eligible for selection.
Monash uses the Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) for selection
of students. MMI stations comprise a series of scenarios and

This course is about the formulation of medicines and their impact
on the body. It is approved by the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
To become a registered pharmacist, you need to complete the
course and a years internship training under the supervision of the
Australian Pharmacy Council. High-achieving students may also
choose to undertake a specific scholars program.
