It consists of Five Stages:

Forming
Storming
Norming
Performing
Adjourning

Stages

Forming

1st Stage
Anxiety and uncertainty
Become familiar with each other
Preventing Subgroups
Typical outcomes

Storming

2nd Stage
Conflicts of Power
Lose focus on its original aim
Members may withdraw or Leave

Norming

3rd Stage
Tend to become a cohesive unit
Focus on group purpose
Development of Group Norms

Performing

4th Stage
Work Together
Group A Cohesive Unit
Morale is high

Adjourning

Completion and Disengagement


Proud of having achieved
Party Time
Promises to Stay in Touch
