Task 1 - Cooking a meal to keep you alive
Using the ingredients you found and what you have learned
from Food Technology, record yourself creating a meal
which will allow you to stay alive.
Task 2 - Design A Tribal Logo
Design with a fellow survivor, using your Graphics
Knowledge a Tribal Logo which represents the following
competencies: teamwork, collaboration, communication.
Task 3 - Create the Tribal Logo
Tribal Logo designed. Now create it and fly it high so whoever is coming (that's if anyone is coming) will see it.
Task 4 - Build A Raft to get you to safety
Your task using your skills learned in Resistant Materials is
to build a raft which will get you and your fellow survivors
off The Island once and for all.

The Geography task is going to help you understand where
you are in the world

Create an instruction manual of how to use latitude and


longitude.
Create a map that shows all the geographical features of
the island.
Choose a settlement site and justify its location.

Now Amilia, you dont need to be able to play an instrument
to be awarded the Music stamp!
Improve
Use the notes from Raga Bhairav to improvise the Alap
section over the apura drone provided.
Gat
You must charm the snake to sleep by accurately playing
the Gat from Raga Bhairav, to perform the Jhor over the
Tala provided by the table drums
Performance
Work together with the other castaways to create an
original group performance.

Create a map with an area of 1000m2 on A3 paper


On your map, the students plot some coordinates which
would be specified

map look as authentic as possible.

Create a model of the island using quotations as hints.

Will you bring French or Spanish fashion to the Island and


set a new trend ? Which French/Spanish stylists will
inspire you ?
Will you build French or Spanish inspired monuments on
the Island ? Which ones ? What will they look like ?
Will you open French or Spanish restaurants and cafs ?
What will be on the menu ?
Will you plan your own festival to celebrate Island life?
Parades? Songs? Food? How will it be?

Pick one of the aspects above and do some research to


find out as much information as possible.
Part of the research will be done in your French / Spanish

The Task

You must include images and a written plan of what you are
going to do, why and where the influence comes from.

Create a film that shows memorable moments on the
Island.

Its time to put your Science hat on now Amilia, you must
complete all the challenges to complete this section.

The Island has a plentiful supply of Ninkynonk eggs. You


will need to research, design and build a solar cooker to
boil a Ninkynonk egg.
A food chain treasure hunt. Locate the posters around
school and put it together to produce a food web.

One of the members of your team has an infected


wound. You have found some plants which you may be
able to use as an antiseptic to treat the wound. You must
find out which antiseptic you should use to treat the
wound before your team member becomes ill and dies.

In order to collect the Art section of the map you must
complete the tasks listed below to make your FREAKY
PLANT:
Design, research the artist Ernst Haeckel and make a
display of his work on your sketchbook page.
Do an A5 wax and scratch of a plant and plan out 6
different designs - (line drawings) for your final paper
mache art piece in your sketchbook.
Write a description on the work of Niki De Saint Phalles
work and draw out your final design for your paper mache
art freaky plant with the similar patterns and bright colours
like Niki De Saint Phalle.

Complete the six week PE survival challenge!
Work Out 1.
You must complete this at least once a week over the first
three weeks of the island project and picture yourself for
evidence each time.
For the first few times, just do two rounds. When your body
starts to get used to the workout, you can add 1 or 2 more
rounds, but dont go over 5. If you dont know the exercise,
click on the name to learn more about it.8 burpees, 30s
Crawling Simply crawl on the floor using your arms and
legs. 10 Sit Ups. 8 Push Ups. 8 Bodyweight Squats.
30s Shadow Boxing. 10 Reverse Crunches. 20 Mountain
Climbers. Take 2 minutes of rest and repeat.
Work Out 2.
You must complete this at least once a week over the last
three weeks and picture yourself as evidence each time.
Run for 10 min continuously. 20 sit up. 15 push ups. 15
burpees
All photos can be printed out and displayed on the pillar in
between the PE and Art department!
