4041 is located at Ravenstein Gallery

in the centre of Brussels. It was
initiated by the 4041 collective to give
a boost to the public activities in this
marvellous space which is on the one
hand a connection between the urban
infrastructure of the Central Station
and the cultural institution of the Bozar
and on the other hand a destination in
itself for shopping, eating and cultural
activities. Built in the time of the Expo
58, the space embodies the optimism
of its time. 4041 wants to take part
in expressing again a contemporary
optimism regarding the future.

What was before a failed restaurant
became a multi purpose event location.
Due to the temporary existence of
the space, the transformation was
realized solely with recycled materials,
most of them recovered from the
former furniture. Very specific by
its irregular shape, the space offers
multiple configurations for use. The
large windows provide visibility from
the public space, mobile furniture and
acoustical curtains allow an adaptation
of the space according to different
needs. The external covered space of
the rotunda can be used upon request.

The standard equipment comprises
a basic amount of seating and tables,
technical infrastructure for sound and
image, wifi-network, kitchenette with
fridge, storage area and sanitary spaces.
Additional equipment can be provided
upon request.
