KSL New: SUV slams into car & kills man
Car crashes are a horrible way to end a human's life. The issue in this article was that a
man in his 40s died in a car accident due to the other driver not paying attention. The 40 year old
mans family will be impacted pretty rough when they find out that their dad/husband has passed
away. There could've been a couple of resolutions in this problem. One could of been that the
lady who hit the man could of been more careful, & just opened up her eyes to see that the traffic
was stopped when she was switching lanes. A couple people were involved in this accident the
man who is now dead, & the women driving the SUV, & her children that were in the car with
her. I find this a big problem, because I notice that their are a lot of people dying due to car crash
accidents. In my opinion it is not that hard to just open your eyes & drive good.

Deseret News: Man Charged with exposing self

The Issue is that a man was caught exposing himself to a woman of 26 years old in a downtown
shopping center. The women was just walking up the stairs when she noticed a naked man on the stairs.
She tried to ignore him & walk past him but he grabbed her. The man known as Samora pushed her
against the wall & started to touch her. I believe that this impacted the young girl pretty bad. There
could've been a couple of solutions, there could be more cameras set up to prevent these types of things
from happening. Double security, to keep the citizens, and shopper more safe. I was impressed in the fact
that the authority did things right, & charged the man with 3 felonies. They put him behind bars like how
all the sex offenders should be.

Deseret News: Search for California Man

Michael Cavallari has gone missing in southern utah not too long ago. Officials have found his
car in the side of the road, thanks to a fellow neighbor. The young man is related to Jay cutler. Michaels
car was abandoned in the side of the road, with no clues of where he has gone. His airbags were deployed
plus he left his wallet & cell phone in his car. Cavallari has gone missing & no one knows where he has
disappeared too. A big impact that this can do to the citizens of utah is make us look bad. We could now
be labeled as kidnappers or even killers. I honestly don't think we could of avoided that situation, or found
a way to prevent it from happening. Nowadays a lot of people have gone missing, I find that really hard to
sink in.

Deseret News: Single moms falling below poverty line

Why are single moms in poverty? I understand the fact that you shouldn't be having sexual
intercourse till you're married or stable. Single moms should be given more opportunities. Day care
should not be as expensive as it is. Statistic show that roughly 22,000 women & their children were in
poverty. This can impact the children, & also the mothers a lot. No kid should be raised fearing that they
will not eat today, or the next day. Our solution as a country could be lowering the cost of things that
single mothers need. For example day care, food, a place to live & etc. Why keep the percentage high of
poverty? why not help with it, why make the kids who will one day be the future of america suffer. The
problem is important because not only does it affect the mothers, but it can also ruin a child's life.

Deseret News: Man arrested for alleged stabbing
A young man was arrested for allegedly stabbing a 35 year old in a fist fight. Jacquan was first
identified as a suspect when the police arrived at the crime scene. The young man was charged with
attempted murder charges. Do we have a problem here? Yes we actually do. Why is it now that people

just don't care to take someone else's life? I believe that only god has the power to take someone's life,
then why do they want to play god. We can stop this time of problems, our law enforcement needs to be
more harder on criminals. Criminals can impact the whole community, not just their life that they don't
care about. I have lost a couple of friends due to this type of violence & I honestly see this as a horrible
crime.

Deseret News: Utah liquor commission going slow on Starbucks' request to sell beer, wine
Starbucks is a highly known place to get your coffee. No one actually thought that this company
would like to start selling beer or wine. I mean it's not a bad thing, but neither is it a good thing. Starbucks
is known by a lot of teens who like to go get coffee on break, after school, before school & even when
theyre just tired. Who can this impact & what could possible be impacted. This can honestly impact
teens, & probably a community. Teens can see more liquor around, & think that it would be okay to drink.

What could be the resolution? In my opinion we shouldn't let them start selling beer. I say this can be a
problem, because liquor does ruin a lot of lives so why add more on the menu.

Deseret news: How tech could make the intersection between driving & aging safer
Statistic show that majority of Utah citizens are starting to rely more on their technology in cars.
For example backing up cameras, switch lanes camera, & etc. Is there a issue in this article? Is it a
horrible thing to trust these cameras? I believe it is not, but why risk it. These cameras were made to help
you, & I do understand that technology is getting better. Not everyone feels the same way about these
cameras of course. Older citizens probably need it more than younger citizens. Not that many people are
impacted, but the car industries will be impacted. I believe that there is not a resolution here honestly.

What is important here? It is important to know that our generation is being overrun by technology & that
is not good.

Deseret news: Man accused of torturing dog till death
What sane person would torture an innocent puppy. The 19 year old man was charged with so
many felonys. This just disgust me, & it makes me sick to know that there are people out there who like
to pray on innocent creatures. What isn't the problem here? I see the problem pretty clear, & it makes me
want to give the man what he deserves. The dog was impacted in a big way, one of the ways the puppy
was impacted is that the dog lost his life. We could of stopped this by calling the authorities when the dog
was crying, but no one had the guts to do it. It is important to know that there are people who like to bully
& pray on innocent creatures. We are the solution to all of this, & we can all stop it together by standing
up to the problem.

Deseret news: Utah's graduation increases to 84%
This is always great to see. More teens are graduation, & honestly doing better. I say this is
because teachers are putting more effort into their students. Teens are graduating more, & our percentage
in race has also gone up. We are all impacted on this honestly. It opens more jobs to teens with a high
school diploma. There really isn't a problem here, but more of an accomplishment. We can make the
percentage way better if we all decided to come in as one, & help each other. This article just makes you
see how much we are succeeding as a nation.

Deseret news: Impaired ex-school bus driver to serve 10 days in jail
A Davis County bus driver was driving a bus full of students & teachers under the influence. She
was charged with a DUI, & striped from her licensed. The bus driver drove from davis county to an event
at BYU. Who can we trust now? Parents usually tend to trust the bus drivers, & our government for hiring
them. All the students were impacted, the impact will be that they will be scared to be in a bus just
because of one bad experience. The resolution could of been that she could've been tested before taking
the bus, to make sure she was okay to drive. She only got 10 days of prison time, for basically putting all
the lives of the children in danger. Was the problem important? Of course it was, just put yourself in the
parents shoes or even the child's.

Deseret News: Payson teen hit, killed by 2 cars
Imagine getting home, & getting the news that your 14 year old son was hit by 2 cars. The young
boy from payson was walking to school, when not only one car hit him but two. Do people not see when
they drive? The name of teen was not yet given out. Who was impacted? The parents & the poor little
boy's life was the impact. Why is it that nowadays a lot of people are dying due to car accidents. We could
prevented this if people would just pay more attention to the road. It's not funny, or fun to see people die.
A problem was created here thanks to drivers that don't pay attention, & now because they were too blind
to see a 14 year old teens life was taken away.

Deseret news: Guard hospitalized after attack
A Wal-mart guard was hospitalized not to long ago. The guard was trying to stop the robber from
stealing a heater. Fred Rodriguez, the man who was trying to rob the heater assaulted the guard of 45
years of age. Fred left the guy with a head trauma, & a series of bruises on his body. Rodriguez has had
chargers in the past for assault, & more felonys. The guard is now in the hospital trying to recover from
his injury that Fred caused him. This could've been prevented, in the fact that more people could've tried
to stop it from happening. The guard was only trying to do his job, but got no assistance out of it. This
generation is just getting worse & worse on helping others.

Deseret News: Man accused of dragging officer with his truck
Jacob Richardson, of age 28 was accused of assault towards a police officer. The man was spotted
for suspicious behavior in a neighborhood. Which of course the officer had to assure that he was no
danger for the community. While the officer was trying to talk to the man he reversed & hit the officer, &
dragged him 10ft from the location. Jacobs car was spotted near by at a house, which police acted on it
real quick. The police officer did not suffer any harmful injuries. Police officers need more respect than
what they receive from citizens. How could we of resolved this? First we could show more respect to
officers, & more officers should of been called up to the scene not just one.

Deseret News: Man accused of raping & killing 6 year old girl
Terry Lee Black, of age 45 is accused of raping & killing 6 year old Sierra. The trial was put on
hold due to his mental status. Black kidnaped Sierra, & drowned her at a canal, which led to the sexual
assault. Terry was accused of 1st degree rape, & murder. He has a past full of felony charges such as
assault, sexual assault, robbery, theft, & etc. This man does not deserve to be free or even on the streets.
The case was put on hold for another year, due to test that will be done to Terry. I believe that is too long,
we know he is guilty so why not just lock him up, & throw him in a cell. Sierras family was impacted by
losing a lovely daughter. Why is there so many cases of rape? We need to find a problem sooner than
later.

Deseret News: Man killed in Magna crash
The Weather is getting worse. Which means that the roads will get worse, & drivers will not get
smarter. Brian Syddall, 47, was the victim on magna due to a horrible car accident. Not only one car,
neither two, but three vehicles were in this accident. Officers say it was because of icy roads that this
accident occurred. I believe it was due to high speeds, & the lack of knowledge. Rest in peace to Mr.
Syddall, but we could of prevented this by stopping the speeding. If syddall or the other drivers were
going slow then the accident could've been prevented, but it wasn't. Car accidents are a major reason of
people losing their lives. So next time we get on the road think about no only your life, but the people
around you as well.

Deseret News: Judge denies a new trial for Johnny wall for ex wife's death
Johnny Wall was trialed for his ex wife's death. He still claims it was not him that committed the
murder. The wife was found dead in the bathtub while the water was overflowing. Doctors found xanax in
her system before the death happened. They assume that Wall could injected her with it, or mixed it with a
water bottle. Johnny claims that it was not him that would do that, but he was not heard. The judge denied
his trial, & said his hearing will be in April, 2043. Wall will not be free for some time, & if he did commit
the murder then he deserves to stay in there. What was the problem here? More & more people are dying
due to the act of others. People are killing people basically for fun now.

Deseret News: Tanker crash sends oil into Provo River as snow and ice create hazards

Imagine 4,500 gallons of oil ruptured on the ground. 1,000 gallons of that oil spilled in the river.
Utah government said that the oil that spilled would not affect our drinking water. The Truck seemed to
hit a pile of slush, that lead him to swerve & tip the tanker over. Which cause the massive oil spill on the
road, & part of it in the river. The community will be impacted just a bit, & the impact would be traffic, &
oil in the water. How could this been stopped or prevented? The trucker could pulled over due to the
snow. Accidents are getting worse, this will affect much more in the future than we think.

Deseret News: 23 year old dies after collision with truck
Do you believe in holiday miracles? Loved ones seem to come down to visit on holidays. Imagine
losing a loved one on a holiday. Instead of seeing family youre saying goodbye to loved one. On

thanksgiving day a young man name Austin Attack, was confirmed dead going to the ER. The boy hit a
truck that was carrying 55 gallon barrels. Austins nissans car took a great load of damage to the front.
Officers say that the accident was due to high speeds. Austin will not see his family again. His family will
be impacted a lot with this horrible news, they will not see their son again. This has been a big problem,
car accidents need to stop.

Deseret News: Students hope to invent windows of the future
Wouldnt it be cool if windows tint changed color due to the conditions, or the brightness of the
surroundings? A construction worker who believes that these days the home building business isn't
changing as much. He thinks that we should mix technology with home building to make things more
modern. Jeffrey Copeland left his business, to continue his studies to make his job better. They should

make old houses, & new ones more modern. Their creativity can impact all of us. How could it? This
could introduce us to more ways to remodel our houses. It is important to have your mind open to new
things, than to have it shut down & keep it the same. Think outside the box.

Deseret News: Women provides safe haven for kids
Linda Saville is a older women who just wants to help children, or anyone she can. She has
started her own club for children who need help, or just to keep them away from trouble. Linda has made
this club run for about two decades, with fundings, & donations. After raising 2.2 million dollars, she now
has the money to build her own building. She got help from a lot of organizations that saw her vision.
Saville will impact a lot of kids, & even their families. They will be impacted in the way that she will stop
violence, & kids will be more safe. Linda is a real savior that the lord has given to help children out. I am

impressed in the fact that someone would go through so much to keep kids out of trouble. There is no
problem here, this is what you call god answering prayers.
