The Common Water Issues Assignment (Individual Assignment)

Introduction:
This assignment aims at making you familiar with the common water issues. Actually, this
assignment is divided into two parts. In the first part, you are asked to describe the common
water issues. In addition, analyze the issue of water pollution. In the second part, you are
required to explore the reasons and impacts of water drainage and water salinization on the
environment.
Instructions:
Based on what you have learned about the water issues, you are required to:
1. Write a description about the issue of water pollution. The description should be as the
following:
A. In the first paragraph, describe the issue of water pollution in general, not more than 50
words.
B. The second paragraph should contain a written comparison between two different water
samples which are polluted and pure samples through observing them, not more than 100
words.
C. Both of the paragraphs should be presented in a single-spaced format, Times New
Roman Font (size 12).
D. The paragraphs should be reviewed for spelling and grammatical errors, punctuation,
and other writing mechanics.

2- Create:
1. A mind map for water drainage issue.

A. Your drawing should include the following:

- Reasons behind the issue of water drainage.
- Negative impacts of water drainage on the environment.
B. Hand drawing is not acceptable.
C. You should use "Microsoft Word Program" to draw the mind map. You can use other
Software Programs.
D. Make the mind map simple as possible; It should be in black and white.
E. Dont write too much text; writing long sentences is not allowed.
F. The texts should be presented in a single-spaced format, Times New Roman Font
(size 12).
2. A table (should be a 2-column table) that covers the issue of water salinization.
A. The table should contain the following:

Reasons behind the issue of water salinization.

Negative impacts of water salinization on the environment.

B. You should use "Microsoft Word Program" to create the table. You can use other
Software Programs.
C. Make the table sample as possible; It should be in black and white.
D. Dont write too much text; writing long sentences is not allowed.
E. The texts should be presented in a single-spaced format, Times New Roman Font
(size 12).
