Restatement of Relevance
My audience can relate to my topic if they have a family or friend on death
row and if they abolish it they would just have life instead of dying. My topic
has also been brought up in political debate.
Tie-back to Attention Grabber Dan Wieden was the founder of the slogan
just do it. He based the slogan off of a man on death row final words. The
man name was Gary Gilmore. Gilmore was a convicted murder. He was in
jail for half his life. The charge that would send him to death row was the
killing of two men during a robbery. They gave Gilmore the choice of how he
wanted to be executed and he chose the firing Squad. This is where he said
his last words that will live on forever in a shoe brand slogan Lets Do It.
