Surface

Standards

7.SL.4.1:
Present claims and findings, emphasizing salient points in a focused,
coherent manner with pertinent descriptions, facts, details, and
examples; use appropriate eye contact, adequate volume, and clear
pronunciation.

Procedures

Extensions

1)
Students will turn in their papers to the teacher as they
walk in the door. If a student does not have a printer then have them
bring you their thumb drive with the paper on it so that you can print
it.
2)
Have students share on a volunteer basis. They will share
who their character was, the one or two words used to describe that
characters relationship with Percy, and a favorite passage from the
novel explaining that relationship that was used in their paper.
Whole Class
If ELL and students with IEPs do not want to share they do not have to.
If they do then that is great.
