Lesson Evaluation Procedures:

Exit Ticket & Homework

Materials:
PowerPoint
Worksheet 1: matching sentences with the best definition
Anticipated Problems & Suggested Solutions:
Problem: Ss may have difficulty retelling the story to their partner in the first stage.
Solution: I will allow students to open their notebook for a minute to brainstorm their
ideas.
Post-Lesson Reflections:
Reflection 1: In the first activity: An infinitive used after an object, I asked studetns to
make sentences using the given words. However, they were not able to create a sentence
that I was expected to see. From this observation, I noticed that I should have shown a
sample sentence before moving on to the next activity. (lack of instructions was the
pitfall for this activity)
Reflection 2: Retelling the story was a little challenging task for students; however, I
think it provided a great opportunity for students to practice summarizing the story. Since
one reading was about health and other reading was about social network, it was difficult
for me to create follow-up questions about the reading. If two reading were connected
each other, I was able to provide a question to compare and contrast the information from
the two readings. It will be a great practice for students to critically analyze the reading.
From this reason, I will be a pay extra attention while choosing the reading material for a
class.
