used on oil producer wellhead tree. (2 manufacturers Gray &

Cameron).

Ball valve: only by Cameron.

Choke valve: 2 designs: one like arrow & the other cylinder with holes.
SSV & SSSV & UG: used to automatically shut off the production

Different manufacturers: Otis, Barber, and AVA. (some need panel to control
old and other new designs are self contained.

Water Supply
This shows a high
volume water supply
well with an ESP.
Only one valve
because low pressure
and no hydrocarbons
present.

Wellhead Tree
The tree is a series of
valves that control flow
from the well and allow
access to the well
Crown valve is used
only when doing wireline
or coiled tubing work
Wing valve controls flow
The master valve is last

Option 1: no tubing

is no tubing in some
power water injectors.
Option 2: with tubing

because they need
tubing and packer in
the injection well.
