Meeting Minutes

Call to order at 1:00pm on November 9, 2015.

A meeting of the Grand Haven Croquet Board of Directors was held at Creekside on November 9, 2015.
Attendees included Cassandra Gaisor, Tony Dos Santos, Bill Todd, Naomi Mass, John Fitterman,
Antonia Marmo, George Betz.

Approval of minutes
The Minutes of the October 13, 2015 Board meeting were approved.

Reports
Treasurer Bill Todd Opening Balance was $12,377.39 & closing balance is $13,509.65.

There was a discussion and review of the October 2015 Invitational Tournament by the Board.
In addition, all details both good and bad have been outlined in a detailed written statement by
the President & is being held by the Secretary for the records.
There was a discussion concerning the performance of the Tournament Director and it was
decided that the Club's next Tournament Manager explore alternatives for the 2016 Invitational
Tournament.
The tentative date for the 2016 Invitational Tournament was set for October 19, 2016.
The 2015 Invitational Tournament resulted in a net profit and the Board is looking to use this
money in the best way possible to enhance the Club &/or the players.
The Grounds & Equipment Committee Chair, Vincent Marmo, has resigned and a new Chair will
be appointed shortly.
The Play Day with Hammock Dunes is November 19, 2015 & will have a total of 24 players.
The Club Championship has had very few sign-ups and if we don't have enough players by the
sign-up date of November 20, 2015, then we will have to postpone or cancel it.
The Holiday Party at Ginny Legge's house is scheduled for December 6, 2015.
The Board voted to contribute two (2) bicycles to the Big Red Box, as we have for each of the last
few years.
The Board voted to continue giving Christmas gifts to the Office Staff and the two regular
facilitators at Creekside, as we have done in the past.
A February Croquet and Social event will be discussed at the next Board meeting.

Education Wednesday clinic has been suspended until December 2,2015.

Director's Reports
Membership John Fitterman nothing to report.
Social Antonia Marmo she is proceeding with organizing the social aspects of the Club
Championship, Hammock Dunes Play Day, and the Christmas Party.
