Blackaby, Henry and Richard. "What Is Spiritual Leadership?" Building Church Leaders. Christianity Today, 23 June 2011. Web.

15 Oct. 2015.
This article primarily focused on describing the roles of church leaders. The two authors tag teamed the subject and
each provided real-life based examples of opportunities and experiences that theyve encountered and how they
handled them.
The information from this source was provided in a way that somewhat resembled a journal entry. The text was good
material however it was not hard evidence. There were great points brought up, such as how Christians bond to a
preacher and not to God however, such a topic would not need to be loosely quoted.
Broadman, and Holman. "Spiritual Leadership in the Home." Spiritual Leadership in the Home. LifeWay, 1 Aug. 2004. Web. 15
Oct. 2015.
Small Groups and parenting was essentially the focus point of this web article, it dealt with following and adhering to
Gods word with the home. Small Groups are essentially like-minded individuals who may or may not attend the
same church but all meet up during the week to study on Gods written word, the Bible.
If I were primarily writing about the significance of those who lead others from the comfort of their home, this would
be an excellent source; however my topic is over spiritual leaders of all faiths. In spite of the narrow view of this article
it is a great way to shed a light on to the unknown aspect of Small Group leaders within the Christian faith.
Broughton28, Philip D. "'The Art Of The Sale': Life's A Pitch." NPR. NPR, 28 Apr. 2012. Web. 30 Sept. 2015.
Salesmen are rarely heroic figures in American culture. They're often shown as slick, dishonest, and shady characters in
today's society. However, without them our economy would go straight to the toilet quite frankly. If it weren't for
salesmen and the folks in market strategies, inventors and technological pioneers would have a rather difficult time
reaching the consumers and further exposing their products.
Successful salespeople, regardless of circumstances, tend to exude the same tenacity even if they're in a challenging
situation. The idea is that in a flat, very democratic society, if you can sell, and if you can persuade others of your
ability, you can essentially rise up and become successful. This source further explains what salesmen do and their
purposes in our economy.
East, Kevin. "What Is Spiritual Leadership?" Crosswalk.com. BibleStudyTools, 23 Feb. 2012. Web. 15 Oct. 2015.
Although East had primarily focused on Christianity, this source was great because it was from a rather general and
open ended stand point. The topic of spiritual leadership was addressed in a manner that can be viewed and reflected
upon by those of many denominations and religions.
The content of this work became a great tool to use when evaluating other sources. It possessed great points about the
way those in charge should think and attributes of those that would make a great Christian Leader which Im sure can
easily be applied to the leaders of other deities also.
Edmunds, William. "Spiritual Leadership." AllAboutGOD.com. 2006. Web. 10 Oct. 2015.
This web based article was a little bit more dated than the others and that initially came across as a vibrant red flag for
me, however I decided to keep reading and found it to be a rather useful source. I was able to find more orthodox
examples of what is expected of Catholic, Methodist, Baptist, Pentecost, Lutheran, and other denominations pastors.
Within the older hypostyle hall basilicas and temples the congregation sat in a manner to which they would all face one
direction and address their attention to a pulpit. The pulpit is where the preacher would share Gods word with the
people that make up the congregation.
The content of this article seemed to be geared more toward those who wanted to inquire more about Christian leaders.
This worked out for me though, because I was merely inquiring about Spiritual Leaders with no place holders set on a

religion or denomination. The information that I received from this website helped me to verify some of the other
information that was presented in one of the books and about two to three other websites.
Fry, Louis. "What Is Spiritual Leadership?" What Is Spiritual Leadership? International Institute for Spiritual Leadership, 25
Aug. 2015. Web. 15 Oct. 2015
This article essentially just answered the question in the Title but it was from a view point that I enjoyed. The format
somewhat followed a question and answer format, however the questions and answers generally came from the same
place.
I enjoyed this article because the author, Louis Fry, set it up almost to be like an interview with himself or the spirit
within him. He has written several other articles that I had come across throughout my searches, but I decided to go
with this one due to its uniqueness.
Highcoat, Jean. "Spiritual & Religious Leaders." Famous Spiritual and Religous Leaders. Society for Recognition of Famous
People, 1 Nov. 2011. Web. 15 Oct. 2015.
From the prophets of the Old Testament to the leaders of present day West African tribes this site covered nearly all
there is to know about any spiritual or religious leader who had ever obtained a following, no matter the size. The page
was initially created in late 2011 but since then had been updated as more relevant people or events are come across.
This was honestly my most favorite source to discover and read for this project. It gave me every spiritual leader from
every religion that I could think of and a brief synopsis of what made them so significant. The site was arranged into
smaller grids were you could easily just click on the person youd like to know more about and another full page of
information was brought up for you to devour.
Hyatt, Michael. "6 Characteristics of Spiritual Leaders." Virtual Mentor. 12 May 2014. Web. 15 Oct. 2015.
Describing what makes a good leader when it comes to spirituality was the focus of this article. It gave six strong points
and expounded upon these with about a paragraphs worth of descriptive sentences to follow. For example, Well-spoken was
