Proposal Plan
SOAR Student Orientation is an integral part of UNC Charlottes culture.
The UNC Charlotte Provost Office currently does not have the proper
volunteers or budget to accurately represent their department at the
SOAR, Week of Welcome and other student engaged events. This
problem prevents the department from gaining student feedback,
positive promotion and content for their newly revised website
seas.uncc.edu.
The project plan has been enacted without the budget. Over the
summer the team has been working on this project. We have been
updating the website and creating signs and layouts ourselves. It was
on a tight budget, which limited our creative abilities. We managed to
have half a video shot before the camera broke and derailed the video
portion of our project. That is when we realized that without the proper
materials we cannot make the Provost Offices plan a success. We want
to best represent the Provost Office and students success at the
university. Below are some samples of the work completed for the
project.

University Communications Is a division across from the university that
deals with sponsorships and other public relations based project such
as these.
My audience will be the Provost Office Board, my internship supervisor
Tamara Johnson who also deals with the research and academic
planning. I will also be involving Liz Breitwise who is the budget
manager and analyst for the Provost Office. I will be working to serve
the requirements of the board but also students. Student feedback is
important for the promotion and reputation of the Provost Office. The
audience will benefit from hearing the team of interns ideas and
perspective. The office will become educated on advertising ideas that
will help us stand out and earn more student engagement. Partnering
with CAB the Campus Activities Board and the Latin American Student
Organization (LASO) at UNC Charlotte. I will help students learn about
opportunities on and off campus. Partnering with the Campus Activities
Board and the Latin American Student Organization will help promote
and educate students of different opportunities and ways to be
successful at UNC Charlotte. I plan to educate the board on how much
the advertising will increase following on social media and positive
student feedback on the website. I am negotiating the idea of having a
restaurant for a sponsor.
