The Tsongas Industrial History Center in Lowell, Massachusetts offers an engaging third-grade
program titled Change in the Making. In Change in the Making, students learn about local
history through multi-sensory, hands-on workshops that address state curriculum frameworks.
Students actively explore changes in land use, the transition from a farm economy to a mill
economy, and technological innovations.
