1.US News. U.S.News & World Report, n.d. Thursday 15 Oct. 2015.

For this article I would probably use as part of the introduction. I would want to put it as
anintroduction statement because of the style of it. Personally I think that when conducting
anintroduction page is important to show both sides of an argument so that way for the
individualsreading the assignment they are able to more clearly define your point and understand
were it isthat you are coming from.
The type of article this is would be informative and possibly argumentative. It is talking to
theopposition of the Democratic as well as the Republican party. As well as to understand when
theAct was passed and some background information.
2. N.p., n.d. Web.
In the case of this article I want to probably place it in my second body paragraph. I like
thisparticular source because it is truly enforcing why drug testing for welfare is so
unconstitutionaland it gives examples.
This article is more persuasive than anything. Its one of those articles that show are
intended tomake you believe the way they do. And for the purpose of this assignment than yes it
is veryimportant to use persuasive sources.
3. "Drug Testing." American Civil Liberties Union. N.p., n.d. Web. 14 Oct. 2015.
The following source would go with the one mentioned above. I like this one because it not
onlytalks about how unconstitutional it is thought to be. But gives a first hand example of one of
thepioneer states and how one of their judges saw this as being unconstitutional.
The article is can be categorized as an informative article. Having sources that involveindividuals
with high political power is usually away for others to be more influenced to believewhat you do.
Also, its great to have real life examples rather than to be saying if this were tohappen then this
would happen in return.
4. Alvarez, Lizette. "Court Strikes Down Drug Tests for Florida Welfare Applicants." The
NewYork Times. The New York Times, 03 Dec. 2014. Web. 14 Oct. 2015.
For this article it is showing the readers that the Federal Court saw that drug
testing individualswho wanted welfare assistance was incorrect. They saw that Floridad was not
doing the correctprocedures.
That reason the article is shows as informative it s given quotes about the discussion. As, well
asfirst hand examples and quotes taken directly from the argument. With that being said this
articlewould appear in the second paragraph.
5. "Drug Testing before Welfare Benefits? Not so Fast." Legal Insurrection. N.p., 08
Dec.2014. Web. 20 Oct. 2015.
This article would be put in the third paragraph. In this article I liked how they are discussing
thefive situations on why welfare and drug testing are wrong. Also I like the language uses to
showthe purpose.
For this article the genre would again be persuasive. You want to show people why is so wrongto
be drug testing individuals when asking for government assistance. The negative feedback
thatcomes from it.
6. "Why Can't We Drug Test Welfare Recipients? I Got Tested For My Job." Why Can't We
Drug TestWelfare Recipients? I Got Tested For My Job. N.p., n.d. Sat. 17 Oct. 2015.

This is probably one of my favorite articles to use, the reason why I like it is because it is
givingboth points of views. As well as addressing the situation or one of the more common
questions. Iwill probably place this article to be part of the fourth body paragraph.

The genre of this article is probably informative with persuasion. This article does a very
goodjob in demonstrating its position toward the topic.
7. "What 7 States Discovered After Spending More Than $1 Million Drug Testing
WelfareRecipients." ThinkProgress What 7 States Discovered After Spending More Than 1
Million DrugTesting Welfare Recipients Comments. N.p., 26 Feb. 2015. Web. 20 Oct. 2015.
This article will be used as my first source in the body of the essay. Showing statistics graphsand
charts always pushes the notion forward. Its a great way to see what is going on with
anissue when using believable sources.
The genre for this article is straight informative. Showing the graphs of each states discovery
isvery much of an eye opener. Specially since the money for all of it comes from tax payers.
8. N.p., n.d. Web.

The reason I will included this last source is because I want to not only show statistics for all
ofthe 7 states but also to show the impact it had on a state this being Arizona. The article
disccusson what happen with over 87 thousand that were tested.
The genre is informative. All is doing is listing the cause and effect of the impact drug testinghad
in Arizona.
