Continental Drift- The hypothesis that the the Earths continents slowly move across the Earth
surface. Land Formations are evidence because when you link up all the continents the shapes match
up and mountain ranges look very similar like when South America and Africa link together their
mountain ranges link up. Fossils are also evidence because some fossils are the same species, but in
different area of the world. Since the world grew apart the fossils ended up in different places. Another
piece of evidence is the climate. This is because tropical fossils can end up in the arctic and this
happened because the arctic area was once close to the equator, but then drifted apart.
Understanding of Continental and Oceanic Crust Density- Oceanic Crust is becomes cooler and denser
as it spreads away from the mid-ocean ridge. Where two plates carrying Oceanic Crust Meet at the trench,
the plate that is more dense sinks under the less dense plate. A plate carrying oceanic crust can also collide
with a plate carrying continental crust. Oceanic Crust is more dense than Continental crust. The more dense
Oceanic Crust can push up the less dense Continental Crust. Two plates carrying Continental Crust can also
collide, then neither piece of crust is dense enough to sink far into the mantle. The collision squeezes the
crust into high mountain ranges.

My Role
My name is Vamsi Duvvuri. As architect I am in charge of
making buildings safe for earthquakes and volcanoes. I
make sure all structures are safe enough for people to do
their safety procedures while an earthquake or volcano
occurs.

How to make buildings earthquake and volcano proof

You really can't make a building completely 100% earthquake proof, but you
can make the building withstand the earthquake for a while. All you have to do
is make the building have an isolated bottom so that it will move side to side
less than a building without an isolated bottom. When this happens people will
have more time for safety procedures.
The best thing to do is to make the park and its buildings as far away from
the volcano at it can be. Since it has to be in Greenville and the goal is to keep
it as far away from the volcano, the further apart the park is, then people will
have more time to evacuate before the volcano's ash cloud or lava hits.
