Reflection
(Minimum of 3-4 sentences per question)

Briefly describe the field experience. What did you learn about technology coaching and technology leadership from completing this field
experience?
September 3rd and 5th where we showed a Youtube video clip, used the language lab that records, used the online
textbook, a vocab powerpoint, a picaboo online picture book. Intern is very efficient at creation. We worked at creating
questions with meaning, moving on to harder questions and seeking dialogue from the class with responses
2. How did this learning relate to the knowledge (what must you know), skills (what must you be able to do) and dispositions (attitudes, beliefs,
enthusiasm) required of a technology facilitator or technology leader? (Refer to the standards you selected above. Use the language of the PSC
standards in your answer and reflect on all 3knowledge, skills, and dispositions.)
Knowledge I was prepared by the textbook company for using the online site which I was able to coach my intern on. Also being familiar with searching
for effective videos and creating instructional materials is key in this experience.
Skills effective research of online sites, and effective communication to present this material quickly to others so that they can use it is a gift.
Dispositions Keeping up with training sessions as a technology coach would be necessary. I was only able to help because I had been trained first.
Describe how this field experience impacted school improvement, faculty development or student learning at your school. How can the impact be
assessed.
Learning about new technology/sites may impact not only the teacher, but bring success to the many students. This increased engagement and information
should be spread to other teachers. As a coach, I would create a list on the shared drive available to teachers at all times.

Reflection
(Minimum of 3-4 sentences per question)

Briefly describe the field experience. What did you learn about technology coaching and technology leadership from completing this field
experience? Sept 9th I taught the intern how to make a polleverywhere quiz and she had the class use their cellphones to
answer questions. Intern had student answers appear on screen. In addition, in October we started using quizlet and
conjuguemos.com to see if it would increase test scores and it did that period :)
Knowledge For this lesson, knowing how to model effective use of technology is important and knowing of these poll websites. There is instructional use
along with responses by students once they set it up on their phone. Classroom management is important too so that all responses given will be appropriate.
Intern can freeze the screen if need be with remote.
Skills effective research of online sites, questioning techniques and creating work efficiently online
Dispositions Being familiar with sites or technology that can help in each discipline would be something that I think a coach should know or have a list of.
Being able to use google.com, YouTube or other resources to teach oneself how to use the sites is important. Technology changes often, so belong to
communities that you can keep updates on new and improved sites.
3. Describe how this field experience impacted school improvement, faculty development or student learning at your school. How can the
impact be assessed.
Learning about new technology/sites may impact not only the teacher, but bring success to the many students. This increased engagement and
information should be spread to other teachers. As a coach, I would create a list on the shared drive available to teachers at all times.

1. Briefly explain experience: On 10/15 I taught her how to make crosswordpuzzles online on AtoZPuzzlemaker.com
Reflection: Intern was able to efficiently use online sites to create practice for students. This is great for differentiated
instruction incase a student is done and wants extra practice or needs an adapted assignment. Also helpful when students
are in need of tutoring.
Knowledge needed: Need to know online creation sites.
Skills needed: Typing, differentiating instructions abilities
Disposition: I feel like a lot of practice is needed prior to coming into the classroom and using technology. I think this is
where the coach can be a life saver by resolving the problem and making the technology readily available for the teacher
and ultimately for all of the students. Also, recognizing that students learn differently and there is a need for differentiation
as well.
Reflection on how it impacts school:
Students were able to work at their own pace and continue being challenged instead of having nothing to do when they
finish their work. The intern also now can be effective in the classroom and create practice quickly.

Reflection
(Minimum of 3-4 sentences per question)

Briefly describe the field experience. What did you learn about technology coaching and technology leadership from completing this field
experience?

One can easily select videos and create notes or voiceovers even for pictures. This can be very helpful when
presenting vocab and grammar in a foreign language. It is like we can create our own videos.
Knowledge- Have to know what you want to say to make the video more productive
Skills good speaking skills
Dispositions Being familiar with sites or technology that can help with creating activities that will capture students interest and that can be posted online

will help students that may need to see it again or that are absent.

4.

Describe how this field experience impacted school improvement, faculty development or student learning at your school. How can the
impact be assessed.
Several of us are excited to try this new idea. The students are always engaged when something is new.

Dispositions Teaching the students to create and share with audiences online is high on the LoTi scale and will ultimately help prepare students for
college, the workforce and the future if they are not already familiar with it due to this technological era.
Describe how this field experience impacted school improvement, faculty development or student learning at your school. How can the impact be
assessed.
This can help the communication between students who may receive better scores. Posting online can teach others and could someday bring fame to
creators.
