Bring me to life, by Evanescence.

In the last couple of years I have heard hundreds of good and bad songs
including rhythmical,
slow, and inspirational songs. The music style of these songs varied from classic,
pop, jazz and so on.
Not a long ago, I heard a song called: Bring me to life, by Evanescence it
is from the early
two thousands (2000) and I have heard it before. For me, this song was just the
song that could be
heard from any radio station, only now I listen to this song with special attention
and understand the
meaning of the lyrics.
Bring me to life was written with simple words, but with deep meaning. It
starts with a
question, How can you see into my eyes like open doors? This is unclear for who
this question for
but once a listener continues listening the song it becomes more clear. The singer is
asking it to her new
love who awoke her from a long sleep and dark side. It sounds like this:
Without a soul my spirit sleeping somewhere cold, until you find it.
Bring me to life has four chorus with the same anaphora and the meaning of
chorus. Every chorus has
twelve small lines that are easy to listen to. In the chorus mostly sound phrases as
Save me, and
Wake me up.

(Wake me up)
Wake me up inside
(I cant wake up)
Wake me up inside
(Save me)
Call my name and save me from the dark
(Wake me up)
Bid my blood to run
(I cant wake up)
Before I come undone
(Save me)
Save me from the nothing Ive become
Furthermore, the melody of the song is sounds like pop-roc in some
parts the bites are
softer but in some parts are strong.
All this time I cant believe I couldnt see
Kept in the dark but you were there in front of me
Ive been sleeping a thousand years it seems
These three lines appear almost at the end of the song and these words seems as a
small poetry. In
addition they are coherent very well together.
Got to open my eyes to everything
Without a thought, without a voice, without a
soul
Dont let me die here
There must be something more
Bring me to life
At the end this song is powerful not only because of the lyrics but also
in the rhythm
abundance of music. Interpretation of this song for some people might be about
love but for some

people analyzing this song is about teenage depression. Teens who experiencing
depression need help,
love, support of most stronger people than they are, also teens needed to be
listened at the right time
but unfortunately the depression cant be seen physically(Hagar) (prezi.com).
When a compositor composes a song he/she is responsible for the words he/she
composes because
songs have influence of a mass of listener around the world.
