needs and functional parts and can be classified according to certain characteristics. Key
concepts include a) plants need nutrients, air, water, light, and a place to grow; b) basic
parts of plants
Intensive Listening
Purpose: Assess a childs abilities to perceive smaller components (words, phonemes,
intonation, etc.) of language, as a whole in regards to plant needs.
Directions: Listen to the statements and circle the choice that reads what was said. Each
statement will be read twice. There is only one correct answer for each (1 point each).
