50 Point Project Grade

Choose one of the following projects to complete on Edgar Allan Poes The Raven.
1) Create a visual representation (illustration, painting, diorama, etc.) of the room depicted in the
poem. Include a short written explanation (roughly a paragraph) of why you included certain
details as supported by the poem.
2) Write a song inspired by the poem that includes at least two stanzas and a chorus. Record the
music for your song alongside the lyrics.
3) Write a short story explaining the narrators backstory, or Lenores. Alternatively, you could
write a story about what happens to the narrator after the poem ends. (Short stories should be at
least two pages double-spaced.)
4) Create at least four additional stanzas to the poem. You could add on to the beginning, end, or
middle, or even write a parody of the poem.
