glucometer. Repeat any adult result < 70 or >400 mgidL, and any neonate <40 or
>200 mg/dl by the same sampling method, and test with the same equipment to
verity the result. lf repeat value is consistent with first blood glucose result call any
critical value <50 or >400 mg/dl for adults, and <40 or >200 mg/dl for neonates OR
follow the adulVneonatal hypoglycemic policy OR treat per written orders. lf repeat value
is not consistent obtain a STAT LAB DRAWN blood glucose (preferably by peripheral
