PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMPONENT
The Plan must have a professional development strategy to ensure that staff
understands how to use these new technologies to improve education services
(Answer at least 2 questions for each subsection below)

Summary of the teachers' and administrators' current technology proficiency and

integration skills and needs for professional development.
1. What do teachers and administrators consider as their
needs for professional development?

The central office wants teacher to use software that they are
purchasing for each school at the beginning of the school year. Each
year central office prepare some surveys for teacher. According to
those surveys teachers demands are technology trainings about

software that they are using throughout the school year.

2. Do teachers have the classroom management strategies
to work with the amount of technology actually available
in the classrooms?
Teachers are using DPS and PRS system that is on our database. Each teacher
is giving negative points for misusing and positive points for positive
behaviors. At the end of each quarter the students who have most positive
points are recognized by giving rewards.

Describe goals and an implementation plan, with annual activities, for providing
professional development opportunities based on your LEA needs assessment
data and the Curriculum Component of the plan.

1. How will teachers and administrators be trained and

provided ongoing support in the effective integration
of technology into curriculum?

The central office coaches and some expert people will train teacher
and IT Managers, cluster coaches, and department heads will provide
ongoing support for integrating technology into curriculum.

teachers and administrators can effectively use
technology to assist with student assessment?
The cluster coaches in central offices and our administrators organize
meetings and discuss the data they collect trough out the endophoria then
they make decision for students learning. They use district assessments, MAP
Testing, TELPAS Testing and also endophoria to help teachers to create their
own tests. Teachers are getting trainings to use technology effectively in
these areas.
INFRASTRUCTURE, HARDWARE, TECHNICAL SUPPORT, SOFTWARE, AND
ASSET MANAGEMENT COMPONENT CRITERIA

technical support, and asset management already in the LEA that will be used to

support the Curriculum and Professional Development Components of the plan.

1. What technology access do parents have at home?

What technologies do parents prefer for home/school
communication?
Our school uses school website to communicate all our parents. Parent can
use school website for their childrens reports and upcoming events to be
informed. In elementary each teacher send weekly classroom letters which
has all the activities for that week. Teachers and parents are also using email
to communicate for any reason. Parents prefer emails or our website for
active communication. One of our schools goal is to reach all parents by
having a home visit all year long.

home/school communication such as email, webpages,
and voice mail?
School website is the main tool that our school has and it is updated every
day. Parents can log into our school database by using website and they can
get information for activities, grades, staff email, calendar, news and some
other educational links. Also parents can use parent mobile app to get all the
information about our school.

administrators to support the activities in the Curriculum and Professional
Development components of the plan.
1. Where will the technology be placed to effectively
support the Curriculum and Professional development
components?

In each classroom for teacher use and also 4-5 desktop computers
should place in each classroom. The current chrome books have

chrome books and computers which are in school for safe internet
usage.

2. What technology is needed to implement the

Curriculum and Professional Development components
for students and staff?

Right now only one smart board is available for each department, so
each classroom should have one. All teachers should have IPads for
educational purpose especially small group activities teachers should
use IPads, such as intervention groups, SPE, GT and ELL students.
