World View
When the writer look at the world and think of the way the writer see things, the writer

understand that its due to the time and area that the writer grew up in. the writer was looking at
the families in the area of Panama that the writer grew up in, they were completely diversified,
and the writer was under the impression that it was the norm, that individuals in all families are
diversified also. Another thing in my world view is that the writer strongly believe that a person
should do everything in their power to help themselves, vice sitting around complaining about
being a victim.
Family
The writer family is truly a melting pat. Growing up the writer never stopped to think
that
we were different, a child should not have to think of such things, especially in a family setting.
The writer recently showed a friend a picture of three of my cousins they have the same father
and mother, he did not want to believe that all three sisters were three different shades of skin
color, eye color and hair color. When I think about family as a whole, the writer see these words;
love, loyalty, security, protection, unconditional love, but still holding each other accountable for
their actions. The sitcom, The Bill Cosby Show I think they lived as any family should. Some
said it was because the writer was not fully black and others called my family The Huxstable
family. At this point my world view of the family is that its falling apart. Some individuals fine
it
so easy to walk away from the family than go through the pain and suffering of a growing strong
family, that also includes the extended family.

Religion

The writer grew up being open minded about all Christian denominations. the writer
attended both protestant and catholic services, because my grandfather converted from catholic
to protestant and later became a pastor of the Church. Every other Sunday we would alternate the
church that we attended. Having the opportunity to learn about the different religions, and not
having my parents or grandparents force me into anything. Obviously parents are going to teach
and influence their kids on what they believe. Religion plays a very important part in society.
The write strongly believe that without it, having faith in God or in your higher power, society
Would be worse. Having a higher power that you can turn things over to does things that you
have no control over, it relieves anxiety. Society needs faith. And these faith based
organizations help society maintain some type some stability in our community. The churche
teaches us why we should have faith and or to have faith. Not forgetting about the other side
where individuals have used religion in a negative way. Because this is the real word, there are
individuals that will take advantage. God gives us free will to choose, having strong knowledge
of your higher power can help us make right choices.

Education
It was said over and over in my house that education is the key to success. Education
does not mean college only. Education can be trade school, joining the military and having them
train you in a specific job. The writer belief about education is this; The writer do believe that all
American citizens should be able to attend college for free, after graduation they can pay back
the government with sometime of services in the field that they graduate from. The writer do not
believe it is right that an individual could be in a country illegally and have the same or more
educational rights than its citizens.

Marriage
The writer grandparents stayed married until death did them apart. My parents are still
married. They instilled in me, that marriage is an institution that is sacred. There is no
misconception that there are hard times in a marriage. Marriage is a partnership with and
between two individuals so they can support each other during those, times and celebrate during
the good times. This generation is the legal generation, it is to easy get a divorce and marry
someone else. So many individuals in their twenties and thirties have 2 and 3 divorces. In my
view, only a small percent of individuals believe in the statement fight for your marriage. Hard
seasons come they give everything up, and move on to the next.

Legal System / Politics

The legal system is necessary for an organized and fair society. Some individuals may
said that the law is not fair, but the law is fair when we get the right individual to interpret it.
Unfortunately, some of the individuals that are enforcing the law have a different world view on
what justice is. The writer strongly believe that the legal system works when everyone gets
involved. Involvement can go as simple as voting to elect the individual better suited for the job
or position. Too often individuals complain about the system or the government official but they
dont take the time to go vote. It does no good to put an individual in jail or prison and let them
back into society years later and expect different results. Frist and far most jails/prisons is
punishment. But there is a second part of incarnation that so many individuals forget, and that is
a proper re-entry system back into the community. Punishment first, then counseling, therapy,
education, housing and jobs is a more effective way to re-integrate an individual back into
society. To many times society complains about spending money to help re-frame an individuals

way of thinking. Not realizing that it is less expensive to put someone back on the right track,
than to pay for their lawyer and holding in incarceration.

Military
The military is very important to the writer, after spending 24 years in the USMC the
writer see the need and the importance of it from the inside out. Out of the writer four kids two
of them joined the Marines after high school and two went straight to college. The military is not
about going to war, its about keeping the peace and your freedom. Freedom comes in many
ways. Starting at home. Every individual should be required to spend at least four years in the
military. Some before theyattend college, those that are not yet ready to pursue an higher
education. And some after they have attended college or any other educational institution. It is so
easy to talk about how much rights you have without having to earn it. I strongly believe that
young individuals would understand the value of freedom if they are apart of it. We do not have
to go to war to maintain freedom, the military presents, the show off force when necessary to
maintain freedom. The discipline, the maturity and the leadership ability that can be developed
in a young individual in order to create future leaders, this is one important part of the military.

Conclusion
Because the writer am an individual that believes everyone can change if they want to.
The writer is encouraged that our society is going in the right direction in order to help nurture

and guide our young and future leaders. Individuals in society need and should get more
involved in the community organizations like churches, schools, politics, etc. That is the only
way we are going to affect change in our society. The writer do strongly believe that we all have
unique roles to play in our society. After reading this, my supervisor would probably say that the
writer am a very positive person, that the writer believe in change and welcome changes in my
life, also that the writer am working hard to make a difference in my community, and a good
impact on our young peoples life starting with their parents in order to have a great impact on
our society.
