The Charity Coalition was established in September 2014 for likeminded individuals to network, share resources and collaborate
on outreach for increased benefit to all members of our
community.
The Church of Scientologys Charity Coalition welcomed
108 executives and representatives of charities and
non-profits from the Bay area for its last luncheon of
the year in the Fort Harrisons Crystal Ballroom.
Guests in attendance came from over 40 non-profit
organizations, including Feed Our Children, the Rotary,
Alpha House of Tampa Bay, Miracles Outreach,
Caregivers Helping Hand, American Cancer Society,
Florida Coalition Against Human Trafficking and Keep
Pinellas Beautiful.

Founder Mr. L. Ron Hubbard once wrote that What is

how much better you can make things. These are important things. His ability to help
measures his worth and that is all. And that is why we established the Charity Coalition, to
help you in your mission to help others.
Ms. Webb highlighted United for Human Rights, one of the worlds largest non-profit human
rights education initiatives, and supported by Scientologists the world over. The Public Service
Announcement for Human Right #1 We are all born free and equal, was shown to the
audience.
The luncheons Featured Charity was the Childrens Home Society of Florida (CHSFL),
represented by Mrs. Janet Caramello, Philanthropy Director, and Mrs. Ellen Bozcarski,
Charitable Giving Director. Since 1902, the Society has been helping to support homeless,
abused or neglected children in Florida through their foster care programs and counseling.
Ms. Bozcarski read a moving letter from a young lady who had received life-changing
assistance from one of the CHSFLs foster care homes, Joshua House.

Luncheon guests donated 147 hygiene products, including tooth brushes, toothpaste, soap
and shampoo to CHSL.
The educational presentation was given by Mrs. Liz Wooten Reschke, President and Lead
Consultant of Connectivity Community Consulting. With over 20 years of experience with nonprofits, Ms. Wooten Reschke gave a 15-minute tutorial on basic board governance.
The Charity Coalition was established in September 2014 for like-minded individuals to
network, share resources and collaborate on outreach for increased benefit to all members of
our community.
