Dear Thatha,
I understand that you are very upset and angry about a posting I did on Lankaweb in 2012, when I
was concerned that you were involved, along with Seeman and Vaiko in making "war porn" during the
Eelam Wars. I had watched a video documentary on YouTube called the "Truth Tigers" that showed
the young women who carried heavy cameras into battle to document (after careful editing) live
footage of the war, complete with atrocities. This is what war porn is - not to do with sexual
pornography (which is again very different from erotica). If indeed I am questioned by police about my
claims I will make this clear and also that I do not have evidence of your being actively involved in
Seeman's movie-making or Vaiko's propaganda work for the the LTTE. I should point out though that
Vaiko uses the identical gruesome photographs in his propaganda DVDs that you use in your own.
You may take offense at my calling your DVDs "propaganda", but after watching them carefully I am
confident that this is exactly what they are. They are very harmful. divisive propaganda that mixes fact
with fiction and is palpably biased, not in favour of the Tamil people, as you claim, but in favour of the
Tamil Tigers (who were oppressors of the Tamil people). I have watched many videos in the public
domain where you made your support of the Tigers quite clear (despite your claim that you are neither
for nor against the Tigers).
Most recently you have been photographed giving another speech in front of the LTTE flag, and you
continue to minimise their many crimes in your publications. I have read your book on rape carefully
and written thoughtful comments on it, after checking some of your references. I have many criticisms
of the book (including the front and back cover) which I am prepared to discuss with you. You may not
have the courage, though, to face me, and your behaviour this Christmas confirms this.
I am prepared to apologise to you for any claims that I have made about you that are false, including
my claim that you were involved in making war porn, but I have no apologies for calling you a terrorist.
Your attempts to exploit and feed fears about genocide, rape and 'concentration camps' confirms to
me that you seek to create terror and groundless fears about Sri Lanka. I am prepared to sensibly
debate our differences of opinion in a mature manner, if you are prepared to approach our relationship
in a sensible, mature way.
I expect you to extend to me the same courtesy as I have extended to you. 15 years ago you made an
attempt to destroy my credibility when I wrote a book rather superior to anything you have produced -

An Integrated Model of the Brain and Mind - which I wrote under considerable hardship brought on by
your cruel insistence that I was mad because you failed to understand me and did not have the
common decency to speak to me about what I had written before maliciously declaring my
original work to be "thought disordered". You even advised the Board that you didnt expect them to
read my work carefully but that even a cursory glance at the contents would be sufficient to confirm
that I was in need of involuntary treatment on an ITO/CTO. A competent doctor would not give such
advice. To give such advice about your own sons hard and diligent work is inexcusable.
I have enclosed a copy of this particularly defamatory letter that you sent to the Mental Health Review
Board for which I expect an apology and a reasonable proposal of compensation.
