Daily Writing Week One
One person that helped my literacy narrative would include Ms. Miller my high school
English teacher. Ms. Miller is an amazing English teacher she helps her students with the correct
way of writing and she allows her students to write how they would want to not always grading
off of a prompted writing style. My parents also helped me learn from the beginning of my life
teaching me how to read and write.

Daily Writing #2 Week One

One special place that has influenced my literacy narrative was elementary school where
all my teachers were great influences by allowing us to develop as writers in our own way. These
teachers allowed us to free write and would no grade us entirely on the prompt however they did
fix any grammar mistakes even if the class didnt truly understand the mistake we had made.

Daily Writing #3
Book fairs at my schools were more like a quick way to get money out of the students
parents since they did have good books however they had impulsive things like toys or
nonessential expensive. The experiences were always pleasant since they had kept us occupied
and they had kept us out of class to let us look at all the books. My favorite genre would be the
fictional mystery books that have a predictable twist.

Daily writing #4
The first time I used a computer was at home this use was to sate my curiosity. My first
experience with a power point was in school however I did not come with any special feelings.
Technology has affected my literacy narrative by allowing easier writing and reading. This easier
reading and writing has encouraged me to write more since mistakes are easily omitted and no
shown through erasure marks.

Daily writing #5
Something I want to pursue in my literacy narrative would be to improve my flow of writing and
have adequate enough skills so that I can write like the examples we have in class. My need for a
better flow comes mainly from reading Malcolm Xs work, he was in prison and fought for the
rights of other people. He wrote better than me and he was illiterate almost his whole life while I
went to private schools my entire life and could read and write as early as I can remember.

Daily Writing #6
I think to look back into my own literacy narrative is slightly important its good to know where
you came from however it is more important to focus on where youre going. While having the
past in the back of ones mind goals and the future should be the forefront thought in ones mind.
Past experiences do help shape ones life and set people on a good or bad path through life.

One of the ethnic foods that I eat with my family are perogies, these perogies are similar to
ravioli however they have different fillings. There are many different types of fillings however
they almost always include potatoes or cheese occasionally containing a vegetable.

The best technique for projects are researching the topics as soon as possible. Visual references
give me the most. I verify the validity of information by cross referencing other data bases and
making sure the information is consistent and accurate. One thing I never do during a research
project is get off task while doing my initial research so I can have a good foundation of
knowledge for the other parts of the project.

My thoughts on peer review I feel as though it wastes more time than necessary because all of
the reviewing can be done by the writer and all the corrections can be caught if the writer is
careful enough after they write their papers.

11/16 Daily Writing

We should care what happens around the world because if it happens in France then it can
certainly happen in America. Yes, we should care because it affects us as humans and we need to
care since it will eventually affect us in the long run.

One hard decision I had to make was about my suitemate and if me and my other suitemates
should remove him from our room. This was a tough decision and it took some time to think
about. While the decision was unanimous we took some time and decided to remove him from
our room. We chose to remove him since he was intrusive by looking in our stuff and very dirty
leaving his smelly clothing everywhere.
