the weather and the temperature of
the current day. They will also
repeat each word on the weather
board.

BEFORE:
Invite the class to sit in circle
time. E-LEARNING: Have students
watch a short clip on the types of

weather. ENGAGEMENT: Ask class


what their favorite type of weather
is. Explain that in this lesson, they
are going to identify what the
weather is like outside and what the
temperature is like.
DURING:

EXPLORATION/EXPLANATION:
Ask class to repeat each word on the
board to familiarize them with the
weather. Ask what partly cloudy
means. Ask what stormy means.
ELABORATION: Ask what the
weather is like outside and which
color the arrow should go on. Make
sure that class agrees with the
placement of the arrow. Next,
introduce the thermometer on the
board. Go over each type of
temperature and ask the students to
repeat the words. Ask what type of
temperature it is outside and where
the arrow should be placed. Make
sure students agree with the arrow.
AFTER:
EVALUATION: Ask what the
weather and temperature might be
tomorrow and finish up lesson.
I will assess students by asking
questions throughout the lesson to
ensure their understanding. Also,
students will be asked to repeat
several words.
