The Harm of Cheating and the Solution of Cheating
In the secular world, diversified cultures make people become more and more
sophisticated. Nowadays, education draws a great attention in the world. Therefore, teenagers
GPA is more popular among parents conversation. Sometimes, they compare their childrens
studies in order to flaunt their vanity. As a result, the increasing lies come out unexpectedly, and
there is an experiment about which makes psychologists concern among high school these years.
As an old saying, Truthful lips endure forever, but a lying tongue lasts only a moment.
Honest plays an essential role in daily life. However, an analysis has been concerned by majority
of psychologists. On the basis of 2010 study from Josephson Institute of Ethics. According to
the high school students investigations, there were 75 percent of students admitted to cheat in
their tests, homework and other assignments. There is a test in the past few years in New York
which is mere 50 percent of students cheated on exam once, and 34 percent of them cheated
more than two times. As we all know, cheating is a very serious problem and will affect students
future because they make a severe deceive in which they will possibly get caught, hurt their
futures and lose their reputation. Most students cheat because they want to get high grades.
However, it is obvious wrong; success is based on striving and not giving up. Those behaviors
can be divided into several main reasons for students cheating: vanity, parents high expectation,
and friends cheating it the exam. If everyone can hard work, such as students, teachers, and
parents, cheating will be decreased.

Some parents think the higher score kids get, the more success kids will get in the future.
Many students have a strong willing to get high in order to achieve their vanity. This kind of
students dislikes to study, but they want to get higher grades in the exam. They can satisfy with
their vanity even though they know the grades are fake results. Due to high expectation from
kids parents, in fact, they hope their children can get high grades so that parents can flaunt their
temporary successful strategy in childrens education. However, they do not know they give their
children too much stress and pressures that parents give too many assignments to their children.
To get a great score, these children will choose cheating to avoid criticism. In addition, helping
friends cheating it the exam is one the most important reason. High-achieving classmates cheat
in order to help their friends. They may think it could help their friends to avoid their strict
parents punishment when students get low grades. Students also think cheating is an efficient
way to promote their relationships. Furthermore, well-educated students who get high grades can
be admitted priorly to college. Also, most teachers and parents think great grades prove strong
capacities, and children can adapt quickly in later careers. Therefore, vanity, parents high
expectation and helping friends cheating in the exams are the essential reason why students cheat
in the exam.
The passive behaviors which students cheat in the exam are inadvisable conducts which
encourages students use an inappropriate way to solve problems. More and more students cheat
in the exam. That will makes students distorting their personality. Even it will propel them
towards lives of crime. There are a huge number of suggestions to help students in order to
avoid cheating. Set targets and be accountable is by Andy Porter who is the dean of the
Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania. No matter how hard, students
should set a proper goal to achieve instead of caring high grades. It is also necessary for teacher

to explain for students that test is an efficient way to check students learning abilities and where
they need to pay more attentions on their study. Moreover, teachers must to help parents to put
right emphasis on students study. If parents can encourage their children in a positive way, the
proportion of cheating can be decreased manifestly. College also should take some activities to
prevent cheating, and they could put a stain on punishment to students who cheat in their works.
For instance, if students cheat in the exam can be failed by their teacher. Schools can create an
ideological morals lessons that mainly talk about honest and responsibility are important for
people and their future.
In conclusion, in the years ahead, people value cheating problem, but I deeply believe this
behavior can be fixed within a long-term development. The most important thing is students need
to adjust their mentality and draw their emphasis on the fixing issues, which are inefficient
cheating. Anyhow, cheating in the exam is neither a good way to gain knowledge nor a life goal
which we need to chase. Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and
you feed him for a lifetime. The proverb, which inspire me is to learn skills to solve problem, is
another dimension to think when we facing the problems, isnt it?
