RECAP ON THE PAST MONTH

Treasurers report - $2,210 (this is available for future maintenance and

expenses)
o New introductions
o Hannah attended USC workshop at Buddina Community garden. Information
provided on grants. Council can provide mulch and seedlings when required.
EVENTS

Note

BBQ at the garden every fortnight on Friday evenings at 5:45pm. Bells to run the
BBQs and KC/Pitch PR to promote on facebook
o Social gardening on Saturday mornings at 9am. All participants of the grow your
own series are welcome to join.
o Ideas for future education opportunities/feedback on the workshop we should
run another workshop with Bruce in 6 months time. Suggestions on content
HOW IS THE GARDEN GOING
o

To improve the efficiency of the garden we are going to reallocate plots and
offer some of the private plots to attendees from the garden workshop.
o The large pile of spare top soil is now going to be used for sweet potatoes.
o HW to order a hose
o Hannah to arrange new bamboo stakes for making trellises
o BQ to purchase some S hooks for the shadow board in the shed
o HW to look at getting a notice board
o Hand print art to be installed this month.
o HW to letterbox drop membership applications to all new terraces surrounding
the garden.
o BELLS are going to water the shares plot on Thursday mornings. Please touch
base if you would like to allocate a specific day that you garden the shared plot.

o New plots are now 13 and 14
o Additional sculptures coming from year 12 students
o If anybody has taken some of the broken sculptures home, please return
them to Stephen Pinel who will have them repaired. HW will then arrange for
them to be cemented into place. Call Stephen on 5490 5777.
