Future Ready Core = 22 Total Credits
Basic Requirements Include:

English, 4 credits
Math, 4 credits
Social Studies, 4 credits (World History, Civics, US History 1 and 2 OR AP US
History 1 and 1 SS elective)
Science, 3 credits (Biology, an earth science and a physical science)
Electives, 6 credits (2 of which must be a combination of CTE, Art or World
Language)
1 elective must be CTE or Art
Healthful Living (9th Grade PE and Health), 1 credit

Promotion Requirements
9th to 10th: Students must have earned 5 credits, including one credit of
English and one credit of social studies.
10th to 11th: Students must have earned 10 credits, including two credits
of English, two credits of social studies, one credit of math, and one credit
of science.
11th to 12th: Students must have earned 14 credits, including three
credits of English, three credits of social studies, two credits of math, and
two credits of science.
Students must complete the service learning requirement to receive a
diploma.

Attendance
Consistent attendance is vital to course success.
o Students are allowed a maximum of 30 absences (excused and
unexcused) for the ENTIRE year

> 31 absences results in a failing grade

An appeal must be completed in May/June to recover credit for


classes failed due to attendance

o We ask parents to report absences to Ms. Thomas, attendance


secretary (ext. 41116)
