Critical Areas for Follow-up

1. IMS needs to develop a long-term technology plan to support

the integration of technology into the curriculum.
2. There is an ongoing need to continue to provide professional
development for successful implementation of the curriculum,
instruction and assessment, especially in the following areas:
a. Block scheduling
b. Common Core State Standards
c. Technology integration
d. PowerSchool
e. Common Core Assessments
3. Efforts need to be expended to reinvigorate the vertical
alignment processes between the feeder schools and IMS as
well as Southern High School and IMS.
4. There is a need to develop and expand student activities
during non-instructional time.
5. There is a need to develop an intervention/tutorial program
for supporting identified students within the school day as the
development and implementation of an alternative to the outof-school suspension program.
