Population: 20.5 million
Pop. ages 0-14: 40.3 %
Life expectancy: 55 years
More than 40% of the Cameroonian population lives below
thepoverty line with rural areas much more affected than
urban areas.
Theinfant mortalityrate remains especially high and 11% of
newborns are moderately and/or severely underweight.
With limited vaccination coverage, each year Cameroonian
children fall ill or die from malaria, malnutrition, diarrhea, etc.
Cameroonianmedical institutions do not have the adequate
structure or enough qualified personnel to take care of these
sick children.

Solution - Clean Water for Cameroon


STEP 1 - Trained teams take water filters to remote villages.
Instructional Videos are shown and Demonstrations of using
filters.
STEP 2 - Water supply is piped to the village
A well is drilled if needed, or
A nearby lake or river is tapped to provide water.
Water powered ram pumps move the water.
Electricity is not needed.
STEP 3 - Sanitary sewer facilities are installed.
Personal hygiene is taught to all residents.
Every improvement to the quality of living is practical love
shown by the church of Jesus Christ. The good news of
Salvation and Eternal Life is preached.

to a village. Water power is the cheapest way to drive a pump.
No electricity or fuel needed.

handle sanitary waste.

Desired Goal
STEP 1 10,000 Filters will cost $119,900 plus $2,500 for shipping.
100 Ministry Teams will be provided with a Tablet Computer ($50
each) for showing Instructional Videos plus a Solar Charger Power
Backup ($50 each) = $10,000.
