Dear parents and guardians,
My name is Pierce Conway and I am a student teacher for your students Civics and
Economics class. I am pursuing my Master of Arts in Teaching at North Carolina State
University and this student teaching internship is the culminating experience of my graduate
program. As a part of this internship, I will be assuming full responsibility for Mrs. Nystroms
Civics and Economics courses for the spring semester.
I completed by undergraduate education at UNC-Chapel Hill in May, with majors in
History and Journalism. I am a graduate of Middle Creek High School and have spent my entire
life in the Triangle.
I am extremely excited to begin the student teaching portion of my program, as this is
what I have been working toward for the past five years. I believe strongly in making what I
teach practical and relevant to students lives, so I will be encouraging the students to ask you
questions and talk with you about themes and issues we discuss in the class. I will update the
class Edmodo page and communicate important information with you directly. If you have any

Mi nombre es Pierce Conway y soy maestro en practica para la clase de Educacin
Cvica y Economa de su estudiante. Estoy persiguiendo mi Maestra en Enseanza de la North
Carolina State University y esta pasanta es la experiencia culminante de mi programa de
postgrado. Como parte de esta pasanta, estar asumiendo la plena responsabilidad de Cvica y
Economa cursos de la seora Nystrom para el semestre de primavera.
Termin por la educacin universitaria en la UNC-Chapel Hill en mayo, con
especializacin en Historia y Periodismo. Soy un graduado de Middle Creek High School y he

Estoy muy emocionado de comenzar la parte de enseanza de los estudiantes de mi
