DECLARATION OF JOANA ROSA MILITZ: "SO I ARRIVED TO ADOLF HITLER"

Declaration of a young Chilean who in 1938 personally interviewed Adolf Hitler in his office in the
Reich Chancellery in Berlin, the text was edited in Chile in 1990 by publishers and Ciriacu
Asgard, taken from a version performed by Franz Pfeiffer.

WHO WAS JOAN ROSE MILITZ?

Joana Rosa was born in a village near Valdivia, Chile, in 1912, his mother died a few days after
her birth. Her father, a laborer, disappeared without a trace giving it up for adoption, to a German
peasants, who put her surname, Militz.
Her childhood was full of difficulties, as a fire to the crop to their adoptive parents forced to seek
other and better horizons and move to different towns and cities. In every way, worried all the time
of her education, which later allowed to enjoy abroad general culture and devote themselves to
nursing jobs. She also learned Spanish and German perfectly.
In 1929, the couple Militz returned to Germany, thanks to an inheritance, reaching Joana Rosa.
They settled in Radwitz in East Prussia, on a small farm, where a march beginning everything
seemed fine. They took up production and deliver milk. Even before her parents death Joana
Rosa still remembered with nostalgia the hard work that said work represented, especially the
transport in the street to the city and the sale of milk and cheese.
The World Economic Crisis, however, has also been felt in Radwitz and again came to the family
Militz worse, sold to the last they grew and immigrated to the West.
Joana "won" also a new blow, since an accident left her permanently orphaned and left to their
own devices, must often stay outdoors and survive thanks to charity. But his courage allowed her
to get a job as a nurse in a small hospital, where she distinguished herself by her great ability
soon.
In 1932 with the arrival of National Socialism she joined the party, becoming part of a training aid
that employed volunteers to help farmers ("Volkswohlfahrt").
During the war Joana Rosa has been fighting with German troops in full against the Russian Arctic
in the service of a hospital camp. She was secretary of the Central Communications Member of
the Luftwaffe and the Red Cross, and many other activities performed tirelessly and with great
ease.
At the end of the war was in a company in front of a cave in Norway, among the wounded and
prisoners. The order to suspend hostilities until her superior officer arrived only a month after May
8, originating from a rare crowd that made it to Sweden.
I want to make clear that the handwritten letters and also sometimes the machine, greatly help to
understand historical facts, know the real thinking and acting of several characters in the midst of
fun and serious situations which could participate Joana Rosa Militz.
For my part, just to explain that I had contact with this extraordinary woman by an Argentine friend
who met her in one of the places of old in Munich.

Despite her illness to the end of his life through Cda. Franz Pfeiffer succeeded in writing the
memories and finally, with brief corrections, approved this document we present.
