REFLECTION
Money is not the root of all evil. The lack of money
is". - Robert Kiyosaki. The movie shows how this
characters especially Gergon Gekko who is willing to risk
everything for money. How greed he was for money.
Greed, for lack of a better word, is good. Greed is
right. Greed works. Greed clarifies, cuts through, and
captures, the essence of the evolutionary spirit. Greed, in
all of its forms; greed for life, for money, for love,
knowledge, has marked the upward surge of mankind and
greed, you mark my words, will not only save Teldar
Paper, but that other malfunctioning corporation called
the U.S.A" - Gordon Gekko. Though the movie may help
us understand that a little greed may be healthy, it still
turns out that it wasn't a complete greed at all. It was
more of a motivation, determination, passion instead of
just greed.
The most important lesson here is the Love of
the Family. The love of money shouldn't surpass our love
for our family. When Gordon took with him the $100
Million from Winnie Gekko and Jacob "Jake" Moore, I abhor
him for betraying his family's trust when in reality, he
needed the money and time to fix his name. He needed
the money because he's trying to do something bigger

than what Winnie and Jacob combine plans. Gordon

wanted to buy time. He later went back to Winnie and
Jacob and returned what he owes them. No matter what
happens our family is our family. We should remember
that as a family we are one, so as long as we still have
time to bond with each other, nourish every single second
that we have with them. Keep in touch with them. Life is
short so forgive and forget, then you live life to the
fullest.
