The objective of this scheme is skill certification and rewards so as to mobilize a large number of Indian youth to take up outcome based skill training and enhance their employability. The scheme is being implemented through National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). In this regard, it has been decided by the Government of India to give wide publicity to the PMKVY and also identify demand for skill trained jobs and make the data available to NSDC for effective implementation of the scheme.
