Teacher's Prayer for Snow TPFASTT Revision Reflection

When given this poem with no title written on the paper in class, based on the text, I
inferred that the title of it was Let it Snow. This being the main difference in my original and
revised paper of the poems (Teacher's Prayer for Snow) TPFASTT. What I liked the most of
my revision paper was how I written the theme and the speaker sections. In the speaker section, I
wrote, In my opinion, the poem doesnt have much of a strong and obvious theme Yet it could
possibly be that once prayers are answered and short termed dreams and hopes are finally
happening, realty will come soon after weather a person likes it or not. Either way, they should
be grateful for that short term relief and accept that reality will always come. I liked this
statement a lot and the way I developed it was thinking more carefully into the poems real
messages throughout each line. Rather than saying how this poet loves the weather so much that
it gives him his needed rest like how I stated in my original paper for what I thought the theme
was. For the speaker section, my claim was, Since we (teenagers/students) are constantly
tired and stressed about school, we usually dont consider how much our teachers need more of
the rest. Although the speaker of the poem sounds like a young adult tired from school at first
glance, if the reader considers more carefully a teachers point of view, then they will understand
the speaker is most likely an adult teacher. Although Im not sure if others will understand my

point, I really liked how I worded and thought about this and I also like how it improved so
much, claiming the indirect details that could possibly be true for this poem instead of stating the
obvious, false saying that the speaker of the poem is its poet itself or some random teacher. I
have also included quotes from the poem that support what I said in each section which I think is
helpful a lot in making learn more and finding the evidence and proof that I need to make my
writing skills better.
