Samantha is aware and consistently adheres to the ethical and legal obligations which govern the teaching profession. Samantha recognizes the importance of commitment to participating in school life and helping to
make it a better place. Samantha models effective practice and is dedicated to student improvement. Samantha always promotes the joy of learning and demonstrates a positive professional attitude. Samantha is a
caring individual and is dedicated to the teaching profession. Samantha would be a spectacular addition and team player on any staff.

Samantha always maintained a positive, effective environment for all students. She sustained a calm,
nurturing, safe, unbiased classroom that helped students identify achievable goals through praise and
encouragement. Samantha has a clear understanding of the curriculum expectations by developing
higher level thinking activities and play based centres for all subjects. She consistently made
accommodations and modifications to lessons which allowed for all students to meet with success.

Samantha was well organized, always making sure that materials and technology were prepared
ahead of time, with student interest in mind. Samantha regularly attended B.C.I's, division and staff
meetings. Samantha was part of our greater school community by helping coach the intermediate
badminton team.

Samantha is resourceful, collecting and using information obtained from the curriculum documents,
ministry guides and engaging in dialog with myself and other teachers within the school to further
support her learning.

Samantha demonstrates significant confidence in creating a productive and engaging learning
environment and at all times followed the Kindergarten curriculum document. Samantha would use
diagnostic assessment to find out what the students needs were and would plan accordingly. On
going, formative assessment, would drive her instruction. Samantha ensures that all lessons, activities,
and discussions are accessible to all students and incorporates assistive technology when necessary.
Prior to her lessons, Samantha would review the co-created learning goal and success criteria so that
expectations were clear and achievable. Samantha's lessons consistently included differentiated
instruction and kept students' multiple intelligences in mind to meet the needs of every learner in the
classroom. Samantha would always include a consolidation piece to her lessons. This would help
students reflect on what they had learned by using various "ticket out the door" activities.

Samantha always began lessons with opportunities or activities for students to access their prior
knowledge and share their experiences with the content. Samantha provided students with
opportunities to work in pairs, triads, small groups and as a whole class. The effective use of SMART
notebook, learn 360 and YouTube videos kept students thoroughly engaged at all times. Throughout,
Samantha used formative assessment to continue to monitor progress, give descriptive feedback and
had students self/peer assess and set goals for improvement. A variety of evaluations were used but
not limited too; oral, presentations, conferencing, rubrics, anecdotal, observational and PM
Benchmark. Samantha created timely transition to keep the energy and focus high and monitored
pacing in her lessons to ensure consolidation and reflection.

Samantha always spoke to students with positive and encouraging language that allowed them to feel
confident, supported and safe as learners. Samantha possesses strong classroom management
abilities. She made her behavioural expectations fair and clear using a wide variety of strategies which
the students understood and respected. Through engaging activities, guiding questions and prompts,
she minimized the amount of off- task behaviour, maximizing the amount of learning opportunity each
day.
