Setup:
1. First set margins to .5” for all.
2. Type Berkshire Country Day
School, choose an appropriate
font, size and center it.
3. Change to a smaller font size and
type sixth grade, tab over to
create space and type today’s
date.
4. To make the border line type the
# symbol 3 times, then hit enter.
5. Before you make columns, you
must insert a break. Go to insert,
break- choose continuous.
6. Choose columns, 2 and check off
the insert line between. The line
won’t show up until you start
typing in the second column.
Your job is to create a 6th grade
newsletter. Generally, regardless of
the font you choose, about a size 12
will be acceptable. It must contain a
minimum of 2 short stories about
what is going on in 6th grade- classes,
clubs, sports, etc… You must insert 2
pictures, using text wrap.
Your first paragraph for each story
should begin with a Drop Cap. Drop it
2 lines.
You may use licensed, properly
credited images, or take your own
pictures. If you use images of your
peers, please ask their permission.
Grading:
Follows directions, page is properly
set up. There are 2 stories, 2 images
and text wrap is used appropriately.
Stories are well- written, no spelling or
grammatical errors.
Images go with the stories, are not
pixilated or stretched.
