ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
You need to be aware of what others are doing, applaud their efforts,
acknowledge their successes, and encourage them in their pursuits. When we all
help one another, everybody wins.
First and foremost, I want to give my extreme thanks to my Almighty Father
who always guides me all throughout the way and always gave me strength to
accomplish my everyday duty which led this OJT journey possible. Thank You so
much Lord God for the everyday salary called life.
Secondly, I want to extend my heartedly gratitude to my supportive family
who have been my source of inspiration, whose career and passion is to cheer
and lift me up in many different ways, whose passion is to support me whatever
my decisions are as long as it can contribute a moral result in my studies and in
myself as well and never forgets to tap my back every time I did a good job. Of
course to my main, my Mama Lenie and Papa Nick2x who stayed at my side from
beginning to end when I started to face the real world and whom I know that are
and always be proud of what their princess has through.
Thirdly, I want to express my greatest appreciation to my adviser, Engr.
Naomi A. Bajao for motivating me and pushing me to take advantage of the
opportunity that has knocked on my door and for being there whenever I needed
advices and reassurance as well as her overall positivity throughout. She always
motivates us and encourages us to do things on our own, always stimulates us to
stand on our own feet and to prove to others that we are worthy in every way.
I would also like to outspread my gratefulness to SLL International Cables
Specialist and of course to Convergys for giving me this rare opportunity that
made me a better and improved individual. Having this kind of opportunity is very
unusual that is why I am and will always be very pleased because I was able to
belong to the people who were able to take advantage of this prospect as well. To
Alicia Towers and Residences, thank you also for letting us stay in a very comfy
room with air conditioner and Wi-Fi for four months.
Of course, I wont end this part without acknowledging and recognizing the
existence of my colleaguesthe wave60, who have been my second family, my
siblings and my partners in making this experience an inspiring, fulfilling, exciting
and most of all, fun. Because of them, I became responsible and mature enough in
making decisions. They stand as my elder sisters who gave advices when I was
about to do erroneous actions. They even reprimand me like their baby sister
whenever they dont like the way I actwhich is the best thing about them.
Basically, for four months of being together, residing in one apartment, we had a
solid bond of relationship that even an assassin cannot destroy. They truly made
my OJT journey a memorable and extraordinary.
And yes, this journey would not be possible without the leadership and
support of our awesome team leader and amazing SMEs who never gave up on
us even though we mostly had a failing scorecard, who did everything that they
can in order to help us out and turn this experience into achievement, who stayed
with us through ups and downs and believed in our capability in facing a new
challenges in our lives. They always convey that they are very proud and they are
grateful as well because they belong to our team.
On that ride to the real world, I never forgot to capture a lot of random
photographs because I believe that every happy moments should be documented
and should never be forgotten.

Summary of Activities:
Taking Calls
Training for Phase 2
Learning /Insights:
Our training was done and we were
asked to take calls already with a real
customer. I was not ready to take calls
on the first two weeks because I was
scared that I would not be able to
answer their questions and give
resolutions to their problem. Lucky
enough because we had our TL and
SMEs who were there every time we
asked for assistance and who always
motivates us. As an intern, we had a
scorecard that we need to pass because
it was their basis in rating us. We have to
be very careful as well in providing
resolutions to the customers because
everything was monitored and recorder
and everything were evaluated. At the
beginning of the week, one of the QAs
would listen to our calls to evaluate our
score and for the Agents Performance
Feedback. They gave comments to
agents of what went well and
suggestions of areas to improve on. And
by the way, we were still a Phase 1 on
the first two weeks of the month which
means we only handle issues that we
were trained for and transfer contacts to
another department if the issue is
beyond our scope. On the third week of
the month, weve undergone training for
Phase 2 which means most of the issues
or concerns will be handled by us. That
was the time that I realized that Phase 1
was the easiest among all because all
we had to do is to transfer the call to the
department who were trained to handle
the issue. So since, we were already on
Phase 2, we had to adjust again. Yes
phase 2 is hard to deal with if you are
just new and you need to listen carefully
with their concern for you to be able to
give a correct resolution that will make
the customers happy and satisfied. You
need to learn a strategy as well in
delivering statements and sound
confident so that the customers will
believe in you. So I applied some of the
techniques which was to think outside
the boxoffer options if possible and
make an exception.

Learning /Insights:
It was my first time to celebrate
Christmas and New Year away from
family because we need to take calls but
we had to deal with it because not all the
time we will depend on our families.
Aside from that, TL did not leave us and
also celebrated the season with us. We
just spent the holidays talking with the
customers. On the first place, I thought
that talking to a real customer was scary
but I was wrong. In fact, talking to them
was fun especially if a customer is easy
to deal with. Yes me encountered an
irate customers but we got used to it
already and we did not consider that as
unusual because before we started
taking calls, our TL gave us a heads up
that we can handle a call with an irate
customer and she also said that what we
need to do is to match the customers
pace with a friendly tone or a tone that
can make them calm. And it is also
better to give a sincere apology and
reassurance to the customer and build
rapport immediately so that they can
forget that they were mad and really
pissed off. And yes it was very effective.
Basically, it was a good thing because
we were able to apply that stratagem
and handled the call as it should be.

o As soon as you are in sight of the building where you will be interviewed,
consider yourself on the interview.
o Use the interviewer's last name. If you don't know whether the interview is Miss,
Mrs., Dr., etc., ask the receptionist. The receptionist should be treated with
courtesy also and could be addressed as Mr. or Ms. unless a nameplate
indicates otherwise.
o Shake hands if offered; make eye contact and use a firm handshake, but don't
crush bones!

anything to eat or drink, it is better to decline the offer with a "No thanks."

afterward.

interviewers' desk.

offer the information when you have the opportunity to speak.
o At the end of the interview, ask for the next step. Should you call and when? Or
will you be called and when might you expect to hear?
o Thank the interviewer for seeing you. Thank the receptionist for being helpful.
