Quality Assurance

Ghatge Patil Industries Limited believes that there is no substitute for quality of design,
materials preparation, manufacturing and it complies with all codes and standards applicable
to the products manufactured by the Company.

To achieve and maintain these standards, the Company has established a comprehensive
quality assurance system. This is backed up by an audit encompassing design, manufacture,
assembly, testing, examination, packing and shipping in accordance with the latest standards
and specifications. Each Division Head at GPI is responsible for implementing and
maintaining quality assurance system. The effectiveness of the entire system is ensured by the
participation of all employees who, in one way or other contribute to achieve and maintain
highest quality levels for every product manufactured in GPI.

The Company's laboratories are equipped with ARL Spectrometer, Neophot 21 Microscope,
Universal Testing Machine, Hardness testing Machines (Brinell & Rockwell), Testing Units
for Sand properties for chemical analysis, mechanical testing and metallurgical examination.
In-house facilities are used for radiography crack detection by magnetic particle, dye
penetrate and ultrasonic examination. Hydrostatic testing and helium leak detection ensure
the integrity of assembled products and provide a audit of their safety. Periodic inspection of
jigs and fixtures, pattern equipments, core Boxes, master gauges and calibration of measuring
instruments, pressure gauges and pyrometers are part of the Company's quality assurance
procedure. Further routine calibration of core sand and moulding sand mixers ensure
consistency in resin additives and other sand parameters ensuring quality of the castings. On
request, GPI offers its products to independent authorities for inspection and pressure testing.

GPI’s quality systems are audited by API, BVQI and  TUV periodically.

Foundry division is also audited for TS certification and Certificate is under process

The Kolhapur District Co-operative Milk producers Union Ltd.,Kolhapur was

established on 16 th March 1963 under the Co-operative Act. It made a moderate
beginning by collecting 700 liters of Milk per day from 22 societies. Most success
stories have a humble begining & so has been with Kolhapur Zilla Sahakari Dudh
Utpadak Sangh Ltd.
On 16 Th March 1963 a spark stormed a fire to help the White Revolution revolt
heavily, when on this day came into being the “Kolhapur Zilla Sahakari Dudh
Utpadak Sangh Ltd” with the introduction of its popular brand of Gokul Milk & its
wide range of Dairy products in to the market.
Objectives of the Dudh Sangh
 Development of infrastructure for procurement of Milk in rural areas of
Kolhapur District to ensure an assured market for Milk producers
throughout the year, as well as good remunerative prices. 
 Fulfill the growing need for Milk & Milk products of the consumers in
Maharashtra & else where. 
 Organize the Co-operative structure of milk producers at the village
level. 
 Supplement the programme extension & inputs, with particular reference
to feed & fooder production & implement an intensive breeding
programme for Milk animals to increase Milk production. 
 Imparting training for developing human resource at rural level for
effective leadership, Management skills & improvement of services to
rural Milk producers.

The rated milk handling capacity of the Gokul Dairy and chilling centers is 10.75 Lakh Litres per day. Dudh
Sangh covers 3499 village level dairy co-operatives on 210 milk routes for Milk procurement everyday.

Since then, the figure has shot up year after year & today in the year 2008, the average procurement is more
than 5 Lakh Litres per day. The ratio of Buffalo Milk to Cow Milk capacity is 78% to 22% respectively. The Buffalo
fat % is 7.4 SNF 9.5 and the Cow fat % is 4.2 SNF 8.6. 

Average milk purchase price for buffalo milk is Rs. 19.04 and for cow milk is Rs. 12.03.

Caspro Group form in the year 1977 by 2 brothers Late Mr. Sakalchand Rathod and Mr.
Ambalal Rathod with a capital of Rs.2.lacs ( 5000 US$) & work force of 10 people. The
parent company titled Caspro Metal Industries Pvt Ltd formerly known as Castwel Metal
Industries a foundry was involved in grey iron casting manufacturing.

Mr. A C Rathod qualified as a metallurgists had a self experience of 17 years in a reputed

foundry headed the technical department including Sales & Marketing. Mr. S C Rathod
headed the Commercial & Finance dept..

The company started with two customers both Automotive Manufacturer. One of them a
manufacturer of Trailers & Trolleys to Military & Defence It took one full year to establish
the products & supply & after which their was no looking back.

In the 2nd half of 80’s most of the customers started demanding the supply of parts in semi
machined / fully machined parts. To honour these request of our customers we in 1989
established our 1st machine shop division Rathod Industries in 1989 followed by Export
division in 1996 headed by Mr. Prakash Rathod qualified as a Mechanical Engineer. At the
initial stage few parts were supplied in machined stage & as on today 70% of our goods
casting are supplied as machined parts.

As on today the company turnover is INR 500 million (USD 12 Million), & we cater to the
needs of Automotive, Tractor, Railways, Air compressor & other industries. We have
overseas customers in Germany, USA & Italy.

1) SHRENIK INDUSTRIES:

This is the engineering Division of the group engaged in Heavy Fabrication Engineering unit.
The unit is mainly involved in the manufacturing of Wind Mill Tabular Towers mainly, 56
Meter and 75 Meter Towers. We have manufacturing capacity of 250 Nos. per annum of 56
Meter towers and 150 Nos. of 75 Meter towers. We manufacture windmill towers as per
customer’s requirements. This project in one of the very few projects in the country

2) WIND POWER DIVISION:

Green Power the non renewable energy resources (viz. coal, gas, water) for generating power
are depleting day by day and the need of the hour is to generate green power (non polluting)
from renewable energy resources like wind and sun.
Keeping this in mind, the Company has set up wind farms of capacity 100 MW in various
states viz. Maharashtra, Karnataka and Rajasthan. The Investment of the Company in this
sector is nearly 500 crores. The electricity generated from these wind farms is being sold to
State Electricity Boards as well as to private industries.

Recently company has set up wind farm in the state of Gujrat with installed capacity of over 10 MW.

3) TEXTILE INDUSTRIES:

Textile Industry

Starline Textiles, another enterprise of Sanjay Ghodawat has come up with wide range of
apparel fabrics in shirting & suiting.In the coming years, there will be a huge demand for top
quality of yarn dyed shirting fabrics, as well as suiting fabrics all over the world due to
closure of lot weaving units in Europe and U.S.A.These fabrics are produced on most
advanced Picanol Gammax Rapier weaving machines. These machines are equipped with 8
colour weft insertion with fancy let-off attachment to produce wide range of fancy
fabrics.The weaving shed is equipped with Luwa Humidification Plant. The Company plants
also to enter into garments manufacturing and export business very soon.
