This is an example of what an Annotated Bibliography looks like. There are two components: a
full citation and an annotation. The sources should be listed in the order they would appear on
your bibliographic page (this differs by style/format).
First, cite your source using Lester and Lester as a guide. Next, note if it is a scholarly source or
not and how you know this. Then, underneath it, write an annotation. See the prompt for this
assignment to see what to include in the annotations.
These citations are in MLA formatremember to cite in your disciplines format/style.

Adams, Tom C., and Keim, Michael C. Leadership Practices and Effectiveness Among Greek
Student Leaders. College Student Journal 34 (2003): 259-270. Retrieved February 2,
2004 from Ebscohost.
This article concerns a study performed by Adams and Kein at three public, Midwestern
universities. It is scholarly because it is from a peer-reviewed journal. They wished to have
answers to three questions concerning characteristics of the respondents; differences in
leadership practices between men and women as exhibited by presidents, executive council
members, and general members of fraternities and sororities; and differences in the perceptions
of leader effectiveness from presidents, executive council members, and general members of
fraternities and sororities. I will use this in my paper to prove. in the second point of my
argument.
Henderson, Robert. Educating Leaders in Developing Nations. Higher Education in Europe 27
(2001): 249-252. Retrieved February 9, 2004 from Ebscohost.
This article is a discussion concerning the efforts of the University of the Incarnate Word
to train students to be leaders in the Pacific Rim as well as Central and South American countries
through enhancements in its curriculum. It is scholarly because it is in a peer-reviewed journal. I
will use this in my paper to provefor the third point of my argument.
