    middleofthecentralrafter.Theropearoundhisneckistenfeetlongandhisfeetarethreefeetofftheground.Thenearest
    wallis20feetawayfromtheman.Thereisapuddleofwaternearby.Itisnotpossibletoclimbupthewallsoralongthe
    rafters.Themanhangedhimself.Howdidhedoit?
    Solution:Heclimbedonablockoficewhichhassincemelted.

    2.Awomanhasincontrovertibleproofincourtthatherhusbandwasmurderedbyhersister.Boththewomanandhersister
    arebeforetheJudge.Thejudgedeclares,"ThisisthestrangestcaseI'veeverseen.Thoughit'sacutanddriedcase,this
    womanbeforemecannotbepunished."Howcanthispossiblybe?
    Hint:Thesisterisaliveandsocouldtechnicallyspeakingbepunished,butalthoughprobablynotbythelawsofany
    westernjudicialsystems.
    Solution:Thesistersareconjoinedtwins.

    3.Itwasadarkstormynightandacouplewereinacarracingmadlythroughaforeigncity.Thecarbrokedownandthe
    husbandhadtogogethelpfromsomeonewhospokehislanguage.Hewasafraidtoleavehiswifealoneinthecarsohe
    pulledupthewindowsandlockedthecarbeforeleaving.Whenhecameback,thecarwasinthesamestateashehadleftit
    buthiswifewasdead,therewasbloodonthefloorandtherewasastrangerinthecar.Whathappened?
    Hint:Thehusbandmusthavebeenawayfromthecarformorethanamerecoupleofminutes.
    Solution:Thewifewasabouttohaveababy.Theyweredrivingtothehospital.Thebabywasborn,andthewife
    didn'tsurvivethebirth.

    4.Fivepiecesofcoal,acarrotandascarfarelyingonahillneararemotehouse.Nobodyputthemonthelawnbutthereisa
    perfectlylogicalreasonwhytheyshouldbethere.Whatisit?
    Hint:Theyhavebeenlyingthereawhile.
    Solution:Theywereusedbychildrenwhomadeasnowman.Thesnowhasnowmelted.
