Suggested marking criteria for assessment rubric.
Students to prepare short subversive texts (2 paragraphs max. OR
picture accompanied by 2-3 lines of text) to be written and presented
by students in week 2, lesson 5).

Key focus areas to be assessed: comprehension, fluency and
vocabulary.

1. Student composes a short, 2-paragraph text OR an illustration
accompanied by 2-3 lines of writing, which demonstrate an
understanding of subversive writing. (Comprehension)
2. Student selects and uses a subversion strategy in own text to
engage the audience. (Linked to EN3-6B, indicator 1)
3. Student composes a text that demonstrates thoughtful use of
vocabulary to enhance learning and enjoyment. (Linked to EN32A indicator 1)
4. Students read with accuracy and expression. (Fluency)
